Mini-Tiller
For all of the people complaining about Sears, check the name on the product. It says Craftsman, not Sears. Sears doesn't make it, Craftsman does. You can buy Craftsman at KMart and ************, too. You can also buy online at Craftsman.com. Don't blame the middle man that carries the product. I got mine 2nd hand because the guy wanted a larger tiller. After my unit would not crank, I found that the carburetor had clogged up due to stale gas (thank you ethanol!!). I cleaned the carburetor and put in fresh gas. That's user error, not product error. This tiller works fine. I don't rate 5 stars, because nothing is perfect.

Craftsman mini tiller
Wish I would have read these reviews before buying. Same problems as listed by others. Hard to start and ran for 10 minutes then quit. Can't start it now. Will be returning it for a refund.

Started Once - Returned - Avoid this product

Seriously Sears, you should not be selling this product. Read the reviews. The engine doesn't consistently start. It started once for us. We stopped to clean up an area and moved to another area. Couldn't get the tiller started again. Returned it. My faith in Craftsman is waning fast. Not sure if I'll buy another Craftsman yard machine if they sell products like this tiller that is obviously not worth buying.

Good for small gardens

My husband was excited to get a garden started with this tiller. He was quiet impressed with it's power. Thus far he is very pleased.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Junk

Purchased this tiller at the local Sears store and right from the start did not work, could not get it started. Returned it to the store and they gave me a second tiller. This worked the first time and then on the second occasion it stopped in the middle of a job and have not been able to re-start it. These tillers are inherently DEFECTIVE!

Great Little Tiller

I honestly couldn't be happier with this purchase. It had been returned to the store so I got it at a substantial discount. I will be using it alot in the spring to do my flower beds and in between the rows in our garden.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Piece of Junk

I bought one of these tillers a couple of years ago for very light gardening duty and it work pretty well until just after the warranty expired (one year). Since I had purchased the optional and expensive dethatching attachment, I took a chance and bought another one of the same model in April 2013. I used it exactly twice and it developed the same problem as the first one. Specifically, it will suddenly stop running and after pulling the start cord until your arm is numb it will breifly re-start, but stall once you try to engage the tines. I'm no amatuer with powered lawn implements, been buying and using them for over 30 years. There is something basically defective with this machine. I took it back to the store in Sept. 2013 for a refund (didn't want to exchange for another of the same piece of junk), but since it was passed the 30 day return window, the only thing that the store manager would offer is to have it serviced under the warranty. This would normally be acceptable, except that I know from owning two of these things that they will get this thing kind of running until after the warranty expires, then I'm screwed again. I'm now engaged in a battle with the regional management to get my money back or store credit. Stay away from this machine. Go to the 4 stroke engine for a little more money or buy a different 2 stroke at another retailer.

Extremely hard to start

I bought this tiller about 10 days ago and used it one time and it would not start again. As recommended, I used 100% gas mixed with 2 cycle oil with ratio 40:1. I would not recommend this to anybody. I have been pleased with all of Craftsman equipment until now.
