WeedWacker Gas Trimmer Gets It Done Faster
The 2-Cycle Straight Shaft WeedWacker is dream yard equipment - it's quiet, easy to start, lightweight, powerful and big enough to get the job done faster so you can get back to enjoying your weekend.
With a gigantic 17-inch cutting swath, the WeedWacker gas trimmer makes quick work of routine trimming and annual clearing. The straight shaft lets you reach and cut farther, while making the WeedWacker more comfortable for taller users. It's gas-powered, so you're free to move, not tripping all over extension cords. An oversize guard provides advanced debris protection and helps ensure that you're whacking weeds rather than shins, while the dual-line bump-and-go head keeps you moving. A dream machine for your chores, bring home this Craftsman, and get the job done fast.

I'm not a great fan of anything Sears with a motor, but I wanted to try a straight shaft trimmer. I crossed my fingers & decided to give this one a try. It started on the fourth pull out of the box & has never taken more than three pulls when cold since. It has always started on the first pull when hot. Power is sufficient for any normal use. I've had it about 4 months & am perfectly happy with it. My neighbor used it twice & bought one for himself. (Made me happy for that) I'm not sure when my curved shaft Steihl will be used again.
I have purchase the craftman weed trimmer and it works very good, is strong enough and it is very easy to use and to strat, i have use the electric weed eaters and they keep burning, with the gasoline craftman trimmer i just keep timming with out worrying about it burning on me

I bought this trimmer, used it once, and returned it immediately. Where the end of the shaft meets the spinning head, there is a opening for grass to get sucked into and tangled in. The first and only time i used it, i spent more time digging grass out of it with my knife then i did actually using it. When i returned it, they said most straight shaft trimmers on the market today have this same design, and the only way to get away from that design is to buy a more exepensive trimmer, like a Husqvarna or a Stihl. I went out shopping for a different trimmer after returning this, and sure enough, they were correct. So i went and bought a Stihl FS 56 RC. Yes, i spent more then twice as much on the Stihl then what i spent on this trimmer,($220 to be exact) but it was (is) worth every penny! My 10 year old mcculloch, which barely stays running anymore, has an entirely different, and much better design. Until they change the design on these, in my opinion, they're garbage.
I've used the trimmer for about a month and am pleased with the purchase. I moved to a house where a lot more trim work was required so wanted a reliable straight shaft trimmer. It's easy to start and runs well. Remember to buy some extra line because what it comes with doesn't last long.

worked really well over all but when trying to cut tall grass it would tangle up on the shaft and bog down the motor other than that great product!
I was very pleasantly surprised at how easily this trimmer worked. nice and lite but got the job done very efficiently. the bump head worked to perfection as the trim line was at a constant working length
