Worked as it should the first time. Strong output. However, it failed after that. No power under full throttle. Research says there may be an issue with the plastic carb on the engine. Not specific to Craftsman but affects other brands as well. So, you may not be better off buying a different name brand. Whatever happened to testing a product before selling it?

Had to take the first one back because it wouldn't start after turning it off after the first use. This replacement one does start every time but it's really hard to get started.

Bought this item and due to problems with such equipment, I purchased a 3 year extended warranty. Glad I did as the first one started 2 times, second one never started and third one started 3 times. Three in 11 months was too much and I asked for a refund. They were kind enough to give my money back and I will never buy another Sears blower, maybe another from them of a different brand. This is the same as the Poulan, stay away from both.

Purchased this blower in Sept 2012 and used ~15 times. In May 2013, it stopped working, would not start and had a rattling noise inside. The unit has a 2 year warranty but the Sears procedure for honoring the warranty is extremely poor. They said a $65 charge would be needed upfront for an inspection. If the inspection showed a manufacturing defect, the $65 would be returned and the unit repaired. If the unit, in their opinion, did not have a manufacturing defect, the cost would be $65 + ? to repair it. A new blower is ~$100 so it's a gamble to send it in for an inspection. If you purchase this unit, consider it a "disposable" item. By the way, this is the second unit of this type that had quit working for me recently. I thought the first one was probably just bad luck!

I do lawn maintenance for a living and was impressed on how well this blower gets the job done. It starts up very easy, has plenty of power and its light weight creates no strain to operate. If your looking for a good blower to help you with your outdoor cleaning, this is it. I cleared about a half acre of leaves with no strains on myself or the blower. It also has a leaf mulcher attachment which I have not used yet but if it works half as good as the blower I'll be happy. One of the better Craftmans products I have in my inventory of many. I like and would reccomend this product to anyone.
