..Good Blower.. bad Instructions..
I tried starting this blower as per two sets of instructions, 'quick start instructions' and 'manuals instructions'. One says don't pull more than 3 times and the other says don't pull more than 6 times in full choke and half choke. These instructions had me 'frustrated' as it would take many pulls before it 'finally started' in the 'Run position'. I played around with the starting until I found the right combination. As follows: 2 pulls in full choke - 2 pulls in half choke and one or two pulls in run. It always started for me in the run position (not half choke). So it's 4 to 6 pulls (total) to start this 'bad boy' and then it works well. Another pleaseant surprise is that this '2 stroke' machine does not smell or send off smelly fumes as other 2 stroke machines (grass trimmer or blower) that I've owned. So far, this blower 'burns the fuel very efficiently'. I used to want to take a shower after using all of those other 2 strokes that I've owned in the past.

Don't bother
when new, hard to start...now will not start. Took it to my mechanic friend and changed the plug and fresh gas and oil mixture...did not start for him...he explained the plug was not getting enough power from the magneto....to fix would be more than it's worth

50/50 on this one.. Asking for help was quite the chore.. fix it!

I'm not sure what to think.. not only of the product, but of sears. First I'd like to thank the local sears store.. my first recommendation is, if you have a problem DO NOT CALL THE 800 NUMBER on the front of the manual, if you have questions.. upon calling the number, they will tell you they are not trained to handle gas blowers. Then transfer you to some overseas call center, that will then tell you they can't help you with your 'gas broiler'. so back to the beginning, so much happened in 2 days. First one we bought, brought it home. mixed the oil with fresh gas. went through all the steps. The blower basically would only run when in half choke. Once the choke is turned to RUN, it would stall. tried a dozen times.. it would basically run fine on half choke. so after calling and talking to people who were not trained , I called the local store and talked to the guys there. They'd never heard of this happening, boggled them all. said it must just be one of those that just is a dud. Since it was less than 12 hours old, went ahead and made the switch to the same model. Brought it home. put the same gas in it.. There are a few things, that are very different, from the first one. its almost like I bought an older model, of the same model, and the exchanged one, was a new model of the same model. But with that said. out of the box, it worked like a charm. the most notable being, this blower was QUIETIER than the first. slight variations in parts. new revision? The throttle is interesting. when you push it all the way, it takes a few seconds for the machine to get up to the max speed. I didn't realize the cruise control could only be set while on max. aka you can't push it in half way, and lock it. i recommend grabbing a shoulder strap while you are at it. One thing I noticed at our sears, they don't sell the synthetic oil. they have another brandname 2cycle oil. but nothing synthetic, like that came with the blower. I tried 4 stores.. someone said they are all synthetic.. well, if they are, put it on the bottle. So i recommend buying the premixed fuel at the store (32oz). But either way, the bottle that comes with it, is for 1 gallon of gas, and that should last awhile. don't have plans to use the vac attachment, but went with it so we wouldn't have to buy it later if we changed our minds. The website says the unit is 16.5 pounds, while all the other units are 11 pounds. for the record. THIS DOES NOT WEIGH 16.5 pounds. maybe the box does and attachments. but this model, and the model below it (200mph gray), both say 16.5 pounds. it is indeed 11 pounds (10 without gas) Again. if you have a problem DO NOT call the 800-xxx-x878 number on the front of the manual. they have nothing in their computer or guides to help you. they didn't even have the manual (which is downloadable). Not sure where to tell you to go for help.

Hesitation in motor

Not up to craftsman quality. Motor has a hesitation sound limiting its full power thought returning but maybe needs to work out the kinks previously owned an echo at similar price which out performs the craftsman haven't used the leaf vacuum yet so can't provide a review on that part yet

Nice Homeowner Blower

Pretty much the same as Poulan Pro and many other entry level blowers. Comes with Vac Attachments which some do not. Starts easy and reasonably light and powerful. Probably not for very large and/or high tree density lots a backpack model may be more appropriate. Works great on driveway and sidewalks and can blow/stack leaves on lawn pretty well. Good price at Sears when on sale.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Not as good as the old one

Good deal for the price. Decent air volume but can be difficult to start. Multiple step start - not just prime and pull like the old model. Not as well balanced as older ones also. In general though, a good value for the blower in its price and capacity range.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
