Craftsman  26 in. Wide 5 Drawer Heavy Duty Top Chest, Black

This is my first Craftsman top chest and it has been all I expected it to be! Sturdy built with a great look. Plenty of room to organize any tools you may have. This should last the rest of my life as I am just a home handyman and shade tree mechanic. I would recommend this chest to anyone who is in the market for a good quality top chest.

Sturdy construction. Just the right size for the home handyman. I originally purchased the model below but returned for this one - I made the right choice!

After waiting for four weeks for this to arrive, I received a defective product. The paint had scratches in various places, which really stand out on the gloss black paint. But the bigger issue is that the bottom two drawers don't close properly. When closed, one side or the other will be sticking out by almost a half inch. The locking mechanism is very tight as well, probably due to the drawer issues. Now I have to box this back up, haul it back to the store, and wait a few more weeks for a replacement. No apparent QC on this product.

Wanted a new tool box for the shop and choose this one. The ball bearing slides are not full length on the drawers. The sheet metal seems to be thinner and not as well put together. The lock is very rough when the key is inserted and turned. This box does not even come close to the quality that I expect from Craftsman and Sears. Also, when I ask the salesperson as to where the box was made, they could not give ma an answer even after they went to find out more information on it.

This chest has the right amount of storage for me. I'not a serious DIY guy or construction, mostly needed tool storage for the multitudes of tools I've collected over the years. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the drawer action. They are sturdy and don't wobble, but I notice that you have to apply a significant amount of pressure to "pop" them into place so that the lid will close and lock. Honestly, I never completely shut them and they look like they are, so I don't really care, but I was a little bothered by it. I'm not in it everyday and have no need to lock it, so it will work out fine!

I am 13 and saved up for this box and once I got it and started using it... I loved it I work on cars and motorcycles, bikes and even more and this has helped me so much! It caqn handle almost any thing from tools to guns. Thanks Craftsman!

This was another great Craftsman purchase. The Craftsman top chest was a great addition to the bottom chest. Gas cover struts hold the lid open until your ready to close it Heavy-duty chrome handles make it easy to move the chest around Secure your tools with the integrated keyed locking system This gives you plenty of additional storage space for your smaller tools. The drawers pull nice and smooth and close tight. Just lift the top lid for easy access to all the drawers. I recommend that you buy the Craftsman top and bottom chest as a set and you can't go wrong!

We bought this for my dad's hobby room.  The drawers moved very smoothly.  The quality and price were exactly what we were hoping for.

A very nice peice that I added to my bottom cabinet, exceptional quality and workmanship. Easy to use, the drawers slide very well, not flimsy like some other produscts out there are. I love the nice black color, it goes well in my garage. I like the myltiple drawes, its very useful to be able to sort out your tools and not have them crowded up, I would highly reccomend this to anyone.
