Works great with the craftsman workbench.

A little steep in price but not bad for the money.  It was much better than one I got at a competetor.  I may just have to replace the other one I got.  And the customer service was great compaired to other places I have been lately.  Thanks.

Great Cabinet
Don't make the mistake of buying this cabinet without considering the bettter version that has the "GripLatch" feature. The drawers on this cabinet are hard to pull open without a jerk which sends the tools in the drawer flying. I exchanged mine for the better version and am very glad I did. There's a WORLD of difference in quality between the two that is worth every bit of the $120 difference in price. They both list similar shipping weights but there is at least a 20# difference in weight between the two and the casters are much larger on the griplatch version. The drawer movement is where you'll notice the most difference. They both have ball bearing drawers but the quality difference between the smoothness is like night and day. And with the "griplatch" drawers, there's no jerking of the drawer when opening them. Go to a store and try them to see what I mean.

Very good tool chest

The cabinet holds a good amount of tools and I like the soft latching drawers to hold them shut.

The Craftsman 5 Drawer Chest is a good start

As a mechanic I have this box as my base for the middle and top boxes and it is a good start. I highly recamend the ball bearing vs the quiet glide for durability and overall ease of use.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

the best lower chest there is

dad and i bought this lower chest a few days ago and with all of our tools we needed it and now all of our tools are protected and locked up good the reason we had to get it is that in dads big rolling tool chest is that we ran out of room for other new tools that we both got for christmas so we went and bought it and we moved some of the other tools to it and now everything is in its right place and it fits dad craftsman saws all and all of our other big things that needed to be put away if you ever run out of room in your chest buy this one its the best and it will fit all of your tools just right.........steve jr

Overall
Ok tool box, terrible customer service

The tool box lasted about a couple of years before it fell apart. After getting the run around on warranty we decided to try and buy the parts and were sent to the website. After several attempts and phone calls we gave up and threw it away. We will not buy craftsman again. Tools are ok as long as you don't have any problems.

This tool chest is perfect in this price range

This is the perfect tool chest for the homeowner who wants the quality/durability of ball bearing drawers, but doesn't find it necessary to go all the way up to griplatch chests.  It is large, well made, with smooth rolling casters, and smooth operating drawers.  Assembly is easy... just screw on the side handle and the casters.  My only complaint about assembly is that some of the pre-drilled holes don't accept the screws easily.  I looked all over for a comparable tool chest, at the big box stores and member-only stores, but I couldn't beat the size, quality, and price that this Craftsman offered. It should provide years of use, and I am very happy with this purchase.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Excellent storage capacity, get ball bearings over quiet glide

I love this chest. Not too bulky but yet supports a lot of heavy tools no problem (if you have the ball bearings). Quiet glide drawers don't move as freely and smoothly and sometimes get stuck with a lot of weight in them. I'm a mechanic with a lot heavy artillery, and I can push the chest and everything I need around the shop at my convience with the handle. Plus, the top makes a great worktable. Strong casters and wheels. Don't bother with adding the top and middle chests, and forget about those expensive 2 drawer tool carts <rip off>. Better off getting the bigger cabinets for huge selections of tools else you take away the portablitity and the workspace. Enjoy

Overall it was a good purchase.

This was a Christmas gift for my husband who already owned the top part. He was very excited and put it together right away. I didn't know what accessories he would need so after Christmas we went and purchased the following: wrench holder, socket holders, drawer liners and a top liner. His only con for this item: "I wish the bottom drawer was a little deeper so I could fit my circular saw it there." Otherwise he is very happy and says, "it looks awesome in the garage".

I would recommend this product to a friend.
