Overall
nice box for the money

I have only had this for about three years. I am a homeowner who uses tools on a regular basis. The ball bearing drawers are vey nice, smooth and strong. The unit has the griplatch feature which is an added plus. The regular drawers have a friction latch to keep the drawers closed, the griplatch uses the drawer trim as a latch release so when you grab the drawer you automatically release the latch. I really recommend at least ball bearing drawers if you want a box to last. This box is well made, solid. It is made in USA. It may not be top grade professional quality but it is very strong for the money and I've seen plenty of Craftsman boxes in shops. I added good drawer liners, that is a nice touch. My suggestions, BUY BALL BEARING, griplatch if you can swing the extra $ but at least ball bearing if you think you want to use the box for a long time. Also buy as large as you can fit. I should have made a bit more space and bought the next size up. I have no problems with these heavy duty boxes. I wonder if they sell touch up paint? It would have been nice if that was included.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Perfect size and very smooth

I purchased this chest to accommodate my needs in auto tech school.  So far this has been a great investment.  The ball bearing drawers are smooth and secure.  The drawers easily handle the weight of all the tools I stuff into them.  The drawer locking feature is really nice too, it not only prevents unintended openings but also a standard to know when each drawer is in the correct position so they all are locked.

Overall I have been very pleased with this chest and if I decide to get another for home, this will certainly be what I will be buying.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

FANTASTIC

Purchased this 11-drawer combo unit (59614 chest) and (59615 roll away) for $467.98 online after all discounts and coupon codes.  I ordered in-store-pickup, so there were no shipping charges.  When I got to the store, I went into the Tool Department.  This exact same combo was "ON SALE" for $768 inside the store!  What's with that?  Anyway, I had shopped around with other brands, and no one could touch this for the price I paid.  No damage, or problems of any kind.  Went together easily.  GripLatch is great. Highly recommend!

Excellent

I went to a local store in order to evaluate the different options. Other ball bearing units worked ok but I really liked the grip latch system. It was delivered with no problems and I'm very happy with it.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Excellent Tool Cabinet

I purchased this cabinet along with the matching tool chest and I am very impressed with the quality of this product. I did not have any of the problems mentioned in the other reviews with attaching the handle. The griplatch system works great and the cabinet is very stable and durable. This is a great product at a great value. If you are the weekend warrior type of mechanic, this is a good fit. Highly recommended.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great overall box

I bought this 6 drawer roll-away, after bring back two other, lesser, Craftsman ball bearing cabinets that had some finish problems, missing parts and the drawers required too much force to open or close them past the detents. After bringing the second one back, I was determined on getting a ball bearing unit with Griplatch drawers. This one was on sale with the 5-drawer top for 499. so buying it was a no brainer. Out of the box the Griplatch system impressed me the drawers can be opened or closed with one finger if need be (very important if you have greasy hands or holding the vital morning cup of coffee). As someone else pointed out: the screw holes for the side handle did not line up at all and I needed to retrofit the bar by bending it to conform to the holes in the cabinet (so quality control could be better). On close inspection, you will notice that the paint on this box is more of a satin than a gloss, that means that it will show fingerprints and probably look bad after a few months. I decided to buff the paint to a high gloss and wax it for protection man, it now looks, and feels, like a million bucks. All in all, some fit and finish issues that Craftsman needs to pay better attention to, other than that I'm pretty darn happy with this set.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

great product

I bought this product for work and it works great. I had to modify the casters to 8" so I could move it easier in our shop. I ended up buying 3 more for the rest of the dept.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Nice cabinets

I love Craftsman, been buying only their tools for years. The big plus is the lifertime warranty, need I say more? Craftsman is also very reasonably priced compared to other good brands. I was very excited about buying a need roller cabinet, looked at plenty and finally chose this model. The only thing I was disappointed in, was the screws for the handle attachment, did not line up good with the holes, and the lack of ease of accessing them. I could only use a wrench and had difficulty, the screws went in somewhat crooked. I must admit, I did expect better than this from Craftsman. My Kennedy tool cabinet had much better craftsmenship and detail. But hopefully that is the only drawback.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Rollaway Cabinet

I like the fit, finish and quality of this cabinet. I've had Sears units for quite a few years and I purchased this unit to give me more storage room. I especially like the ball bearings on the drawers. I have quite a few tools in the drawers and yet they still open and close effortlessly.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
