Model # 706-596184 In the market to upgrade or add to your storage? This top chest manufactured by Waterloo for Craftsman is worth a look, 50% more storage than a standard 12" deep top chest. Load those drawers up, they work better when you do. Remember, When your shopping for tool storage compare the spec's and dimensions not just the price.

i like the heavy duty construction of this spacious box for the money. the drawers slide so easily even with 50lb. in them. it is a good looking piece in my garage. i look forward to years of working on projects with this chest at my finger tips. i would recommend this chest to my family & friends.

The box feels rock solid, except, the lid. The lid has a lot of flex, even with the boxed stifiner spot welded in. The main reason for the 4 stars instead of 5, I wanted midnight blue to match my rollaway. Description says it's available in this and other colors, could'nt get it I was told. I took the black. The good part, this sucker is big. I'll just leave the smaller blue box on the chest. I think the reason they run these things on sale, so you'll buy there tools to fill it up. All in all very satisfied with craftsman.

The lid latch is a bit of a pain and the drawers and latches could be tighter. Other than that, the box is perfect for my needs.

This top chest is great, I especially like the 18" depth that most other top chests don't have. The drawers slide very smooth when loaded up, the Griplatch is fantastic. I only have minor complaints. It needs some type of handle or something to lift up the top lid. Kind of hard to open with one hand. An inside handle like the handles on the sides would be good. A gas-charged lift support to lift and hold open the lid would have been great. There is nothing that I can see to attach this chest to the bottom chest but it is as wide as the bottom chest so maybe not needed. Should have come with drawer liners for the price. I also purchased the key lock set so I can open both top and bottom chest with the same key. Thanks, Jeffery

Last week i was driving by a flea market and stopped to see if I could find a bargain and I happened to see what looked like an older Craftsman tool chest (bottom section), so purchased it. I've been buying Craftsman tools since 1983 and they have always been great! Anyway, I thought I would go to Sears and find a top section for it. After looking at a large selection, I bought the 59618 6 drawer unit. I absolutely love it! Keep up the great selection of tools and accessories, Sears. Thanks again, Pc

This chest is the first real nice tool box I have ever owned. I am very glad I paid the extra money for the griplatch drawers! This top chest will do very nicely for any average weekend-tinkerer or amature mechanic to start. Along with a bottom chest it holds a lot of tools! The griplatch version is nice with the drawer release mechanism, rather than the indent of the standard ball bearing models. Also, the drawers are rated for 70lbs instead of 50... though I am not sure how you can get 70 lbs of tools in one of these drawers - but if you wanted to... Well built and easy to use - I got drawer liners from the dollar store that work just as well as the ones they sell - just have to cut them yourself. but for a buck it is worth it. The top of mine is all scratched up, but it is a tool box after all, and that happens. My only regret is that I didnt get a 41" wide box - I may get a 41 or 52" bottom cab to put this on in the future. overall I have been nothing but impressed with it. the locking mechanism seems to work well (It keeps my 5 year old out).

This tool box is great! It is spacious enough to store everything I needed to put in it. I had an older 3 drawer crafstman toolbox that was totally full and unorganized. This one allowed me not only to store all of the tools, but also allowed me to organize them so that they are easily located and stored. The other great thing about this box is the ball bearing slides. The drawers in the old box had friction due to the weight of tools in each drawer. Not is this one! The drawers slide out as if they are on ice and there's nothing in them! Also, the locking mechanism that latches the drawers is great...just grab the handle and slightly pull up and it opens easily unlike others that have a catch on them and you have to forcefully pull to get open and closed. This is simply a fluid design that I would recommend to everyone who has a need for tool storage.

An excellent chest. Loved the ball bearing slides and locking drawers. Only problem is when you buy a complete set all locks should match.
