This was the 2nd part of the tool chest combo from Craftsmen I gave my husband, and he was thrilled! He has another Craftsmen combo that is 20+ years old, and is still in use!

The top lid feel whinpy and cheap, poor quality. Will not recommend.

Excellent toolbox, plenty of storage room

I bought this about six months ago and have been having to struggle with the quality of it ever since. I really like the space and the ease that the drawers slide out. However the lid is of poor quality with only one locking latch to keep it up on the right side leaving the left side really flimsy. When you shut the lid you always have to make sure that the drawers are all the way in or the lid will catch and not shut straight which could easily cause damage. As stated in all the previous reviews there are no drawer liners that are precut for this chest and should come with this already considering the price of it. I even went back to several sears and was considering returning this to upgrade to another one around this price range and found out that all of the chest are made with poor quality lids. At this time I am trying to figure out how I can put some small shocks to make the lid more stable.

This top chest is excellent. The ball bearing drawers always slide great no matter home many tools are in them. It has a lot of space and the top space is good for extras. Only downs are that if you're putting sockets in the drawers they don't really stand up. The other negative is that there are no liners to fit it. You have to cut your own and it can be a bit time consuming. Other than that, great for tool storage.

The craftsman 6 drawer top chest is very quiet and a must have.

This is a great sized tool chest, I combined it with the matching 6 drawer bottom cabinet and have a sufficient amount of room for most of my tools. This replaced a a top chest that I have had for several years but just didn't quite look right with the brand new bottom cabinet. The drawers are nice and smooth, can give or take the latch feature on the drawers but it is a nice safety feature i think. I would recommend this chest!

Bought this and the bottom cabinet to help organize my tools that gathered in the garage.  This is the perfect product for the job.  Excellent quality.  Smooth drawers.  The drawers do have a "catch" on them to prevent accidental opening.  You do need to use a small amount of force to open the drawers.  I have read where some people don't like this, but I do not mind.  It is not that hard to open, especially after the drawer is full of tools.  Nice feature in my mind.  No chance of a drawer opening when you don't want it to.  Also keeps younger kids from opening the drawers if you don't want to keep locked all the time.

Only complaint is that Sears/Craftsman should proivde drawer liners.  Cost to them is very minimal and would be a great addition.  I purchased a few rolls of drawer liner on **** for less than a third of the cost at Sears.

Overall, I think this is a great product and would purchase again.
