Well built tool chest for the typical do it yourself user. I purchased this tool chest for our son for his birthday. I have owned an older version of this 6 drawer unit for approximately 30 years and it is still performing like the day I got it. This may not be a professional grade unit, but it will serve the average Joe or typical homeowner for many years.

Made in USA. Can't beat it. This was a suprise christmas gift from my wife. I had need the top chest for a while and this one was perfect. Very well made, nothing cheap about it. Opens and closes esay and the lock is smooth also. Lots of space in the top section. If you need a tool chest, this is the one. Get it!

I just bought this box and the 3 Drawer Quiet GlideŽ middle chest to replace the Craftsman chest that was recently stolen from my garage... The box that I am replacing was an 8 drawer top chest that was approximately 15 years old... The quality of this chest is comparable to the one that's being replace, seems the 8 drawer box is no longer in stock... The drawers actually seem to perform better with a load in them, 25 lbs of wrenches seems to be no problem... I really like the prop up lid as the older box did not have this and I always had to lean it against the wall... It would be really great if they would toss in the drawer liners with the box... Outside of the difference in the Craftsman logo this combo looks right at home on my older roll around unit...

I bought this unit as it was large enough for a hammer and other longer tools. I also needed something that did not need to have the top open just to pull open a drawer, as height is a concern on my workbench with cabinets above it. Having a place for all the tools so that they can be found when needed it great. \Drawer glide well. Bought mats to help keep the drawers scratch free and tools in place.
