I picked up my first one and it ran fine for 45 minutes of work. When I let it cool off and refilled it, it wouldn't start. Not on the next day either. After 2 more days of trying I returned it. Got a replacement of the same model. It ran for 20 minutes, then died on me. Couldn't restart it and neither could the Sears folks. Got a refund. I do not recommment buying this model. Very frustrating. I could tell you the good things about it, but why bother? Avoid at all costs.

Horrible! Bought one returned it right away because it wouldn't run. Made the mistake of exchanging it for another one. Got this one out for the first time this spring and it will not start! I will be returning it for a REFUND!

Worked decent for a short while. Starts easy but takes a minute or so to warm up before you can give it any gas without dying. The quick detach system is junk! I had to bolt mine solid just to use it. Quick detach broke a week after warranty was out. Very underpowered, not much torque. Save your money and buy something better! Wish I did! Taking my old Stihl to the shop and having it fixed.

Only used 3 or 4 times. Sat over the winter and now won't run when the throttle is pressed. Tries to run when the air intake is completely covered by my hand. When taken to the Sears dealer at our Washington Square store they were snide and offered no solutions. We will never buy another Sears anything. Online they're not well thought of. Should have looked online before we bought our unit.

I have owned this thing for a year and have been unhappy with it since day one. The worst thing Craftsman has ever done is sell a small gas engine with no choke or carburetor adjustments available. If the engine ran this would not be a problem. But, it does not run for more than about 10 minutes. I guess the intent is to sell service time. The end result is not selling me any more products.

Bought the same model from Sears two years ago. We have an acre so we need a heavy duty weed eater... I rate the unit acceptable. However, I rate Sears service marginal! Why? Since the unit has a detachable weed eater attachment, one would think that Sears would make it possible for a customer to buy another weed eater attachment instead of making me buy the whole unit every time the head gears wear out as happened on my unit. I found a solution ( after I purchased the whole unit again) . I found and purchased a "universal string trimmer attachment" for $59.95 - I believe that it is manufactured by Toro. It fits the Sears motor and works just fine. Sears needs to change its merchandising and be more responsive to what its customers really want to buy, not just sell what is easy and most profitable. I know of serveral people that have had the same problem with the string trimmer attachment wearing out well before the motor. Sears thinks we will all have to come back ...

I got this from my daughter for Christmas. Easy setup. Easy to start. It did an excellent job on the weeds and grass. Happy she got me a good one.

Not sure if this is my exact model. i bought mine three years ago and have had nothing but problems with it. The incredipull is junk. It takes just as much effort to pull but you have to pull the rope three times further. On top of that, the recoil quit working on mine after two years of very light use. Also, the unit has never idled well once the "auto choke" is shut off.

My last Craftsman line trimmer lasted for 11 years. It would start within 3 pulls after sitting all winter. Since I had such good luck with Craftsman in the past, I ignored the negative reviews of this product. This is the hardest starting line trimmer I have ever owned. Some days it won't start at all. I bought the quick start bit hoping that it would help but did not. Once it is running it lacks power and you have to control the throttle carefully to keep it from dying. I have pulled this thing over 50 times with intermittent priming as instructed and still doesn't start most of the time. Next time I will heed the warnings of the reviews.

Just out of the box, and very very disapointed in my new 27 cc week wacker. It will start - no problem. It will not accereate in rpm - acts as if flooding out. Running for 15 or 30 min does not improve the problem. In the rare change that some rpm builds up, it does not have the sustianed power to trim easy 4 inch grass. I have adjusted many small engine carbs in my day, but of course that is not an option on new generation of engines without a special tool. I hate to say this after 40+ years thinking Craftsman was dependable, but this product is a big waste of my time and money. If there are known carb or fuel flow issues with this product, why not let the customer know? <span>Why not post or make the solution available on the internet?</span> <span>You got my $160+ and I got nothing that I can use. </span> <span>Give me a solution and be honest or </span>I will check to see if I can return it for my $ back.
