This [TT_Wrench] set sets the standard in the industry for quality. They are forged from tough alloy steel, heat treated, oil quenched and tempered for a uniform hardness and maximum strength.

Features nickel chrome plating which resists rust and corrosion and it also simplifies cleaning. Set includes 14 standard (1/4, 5/16, 11/32, 3/8, 7/16, 1/2, 9/16, 5/8, 11/16, 3/4, 13/16, 7/8, 15/16, and 1 in.) and 14 metric (6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19mm) wrenches, which is every 6 point Combination Wrench offered. 6 point design displaces stress with stronger, broader contact surfaces that prevents rounding corners of fasteners.

Solid wrenches, but missing case
I ended up buying the separate 14pc SAE and Metric of these same wrenches. the wrenches are sweet. Nice clean 6-pt boxed end. The separate sets include a pouch to fit all the wrenches into and was useful for me. If you're putting these into a tool cabinet, useless. I agree with the other review about the shipping/packaging. The wrenches came in 2 boxes of 14 wrenches each with all the wrenches loose. The nylon pouch was just rolled up separately in the box. Other then the packaging for shipment. Nothing bad to saw. I ended up getting them on sale so the overall total was actually cheaper then getting this set. I got tired of 12-pt wrenches rounding out a fastener when you actually needed to put some muscle into loosing it. These should help stop that problem.

This is a much better deal than buying the wrenches individually. The bad thing is they were packaged very poorly. All the loose wrenches were just tossed in a box and sent. All of them are dinged and scratched and most of them the chrome is coming off due to the poor packaging. I expected more from sears. They should have at least wrapped each wrench in some butchers paper or something. I know they are just wrenches but when you buy something new you don't expect to have huge gouges in the product when you remove it from the box. The only good thing is I can bring them in to the local Sear store and exchange them from new ones.

great complete set..wont ever need another again

For 1 in. and under as well as 19mm and under this set is quite complete. But spending this much money and having the wrenches just flopping around in a box is a bit disappointing. Just a simple rubber band around both standard and metric and this could be shipping in a box 80% smaller. I'm installing an engine now and thats why i got this kit and i'm glad i did. very useful. I also got the wrench sorting tray on this site and found it adequate for my purposes.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Made in USA. That has always made a difference. Like other reviewers, 6 point is always better and safer to use if possible, especially on rusty or hard to remove nuts and bolts. Although, like the others my set arrived loose in a small box and that box was also in a much bigger box, it did have peanuts in it. I also did notice some scratches on them but nothing serious. I will put more on them as time goes on.

Good, quality tools, but one wrench was missing

This set arrived loose in an oversized box with no containers or padding for the wrenches; they were just loose in the box.  This box was inside of a HUGE, well-padded box.  It just seems very ironic.

The 12mm wrench was missing but, after a call to the included toll-free number, I had a replacement on the way.  It arrived about a week later in a padded envelope.

So far, the quality seems to be just what you would expect from Craftsman tools.

Simple Solution

I have had lots of tools over the years and finally decided to buy the Craftsman 28 piece 6 point Combination Metric and Standard wrenches so I could have one good, complete set of wrenches. Since I carry my tools around in a portable toolbox, I needed something that would organize my wrenches and let me know at a glance if anything was missing. I bought 2 of the wrench rolls, one for Standard and the other for Metric. These are a great, inexpensive, and practical solution. If you take your tools to different locations and want to make sure your wrenches are all present and accounted for before packing up, this product is for you.

This completes my set.

I agree 100% with the gentleman from Florida. Nice set for the money, but they could have been packaged a little better. As I look them over, not to worry. If any are dinged bad enough, Sears will swap it out for a new one. Really though, for the money this is a decent 6 point set.

An Excellent Addition to My Tool Chest

After graduating from college in 1986 with an electrical engineering degree, I purchased a Sears 325 piece tool kit as one of the first things that I did. I'm not a professional mechanic, but I've used the tools a lot over the years, as working on cars and motorcycles is one of my hobbies. The combination wrenches that came with my set were of the 12-point variety. When you work on cars, especially older ones, you learn through experience that 12-point wrenches and sockets are a necessity when working in tight spaces. But, the problem with them is that if the bolt or nut is on very tight, perhaps even rusted, a 12-point wrench will sometimes result in "rounding" the fastener. This often results in a lot of extra work to try and get it out using a special tool, or drilling it, die grinding it, or melting it using a torch. However, I have never "rounded" a fastener using a 6-point tool. Consequently, I always use a 6-point tool if space permits. That's why I really value having these combination wrenches in my tool chest. My order arrived very promptly and in excellent condition. The tools were all packaged together in a small box which was placed inside another larger box filled with packing material to soften any bumps during the delivery. There were only a couple of scratches on the tools which don't bother me in the least. My only suggestion is that my father's Craftsman wrenches from long ago (probably the fifties) are longer in length, and I wish that Craftsman would make them that way today for extra leverage. Nevertheless, I would recommend this purchase to others for the security that a 6-point combination wrench offers.
