This set is great and includes all the 6 point wrenches Craftsman makes. Best of all mine came made in the US. Had they been made in communist China I would have returned them. Fit and Finish is great.
These are all very good, the chrome looked solid & complete on each wrench. Sears is shipping these quite quickly, 6 days from order to receipt. The SAE wrenches are 1/4" to 1" in 1/16" increments, plus the 11/32", 14 wrenches total. I would rather had had a 3/16" though. Metric are 6mm thru 19mm inclusive. Again, 14 wrenches total. Each was examined briefly, and no defects or missing wrenches were noted. All are the standard Raised Panel 'RP' style wrenches, and are fine for regular duty work. I had the complete set of combo wrenches in 12 point, but decided to get these because they are still USA COO [Country Of Origin].
Forged in USA. Nice set. 28 pc. of metric and SAE. Craftsman 6pt wrench sets are some of last remaining 6 pt. wrench sets available. And I am happy to see that these are Made in the USA. I would really like to see Craftsman bring back manufacturing to the USA. A good deal. I plan to purchae more.
Great set. All craftsman 6pt combination wrenches made. I am very happy with these wrenches. The wrenches come loose, so get a couple wrench organizers too.
I have almost every style of wrench sold in the Craftsman line except for these until now and am wondering why I did not purchase them sooner. I used to think these were a marketing gimmick to sell more wrenches but they are indispensable when you have a stubborn hard to remove nut that you can't afford to risk rounding off they corners with a 12 pt. These wrenches don't allow you many options to index the handle over the nut or bolt head since there are only 6 points but it will not slip if you can slip it on. I only wish Craftsman would make a double box end wrench set with each wrench being the same size on opposite ends but one end be a 12 pt and the opposite be a 6 pt. I don't mind adding tools to my roll-away's but with space being a premium I would prefer to minimize tool duplication whenever I can. Nevertheless I am glad I purchased these and highly recommend them if you already own a 12 pt set. Just be aware there are going to more situations that you cannot use these due to your inability to slip the box end over the nut due to an indexing problem in tight spots. One of those Laws of Physics things.
USA MADE 6 POINT WRENCHES. Get them while you can, sears no longer makes USA tools, once they are gone they will be gone forever. Nice set, and of course they are 6 point for those extra tough bolts.
For 1 in. and under as well as 19mm and under this set is quite complete. But spending this much money and having the wrenches just flopping around in a box is a bit disappointing. Just a simple rubber band around both standard and metric and this could be shipping in a box 80% smaller. I'm installing an engine now and thats why i got this kit and i'm glad i did. very useful. I also got the wrench sorting tray on this site and found it adequate for my purposes.
Made in USA. That has always made a difference. Like other reviewers, 6 point is always better and safer to use if possible, especially on rusty or hard to remove nuts and bolts. Although, like the others my set arrived loose in a small box and that box was also in a much bigger box, it did have peanuts in it. I also did notice some scratches on them but nothing serious. I will put more on them as time goes on.
