Product Description

Get a High-Velocity, Powerful Cut with the Craftsman Weedwacker Gas Trimmer

No one wants to spend hours scrubbing grass stains from their legs and pants - that's why Craftsman incorporated a deluxe debris guard in the design for their powerful Craftsman 29cc 4 Cycle Weedwacker Straight Shaft. The wide shield keeps debris like grass, rocks and sticks from slamming into your shins while you slice through overgrown grass and weeds making cleanup and operation much less painful.

Craftsman eliminated mixing oil and gas and cancelled clouds of unburned fuel by insisting this Craftsman Weedwacker Gas Trimmer be powered by a four-cycle engine. No more fooling around with oil, or trying to remember ratios, just gas this weed eater up with the same fuel you put in your car and get to work.

With an option of Speed Start™ push button starting, or Incredi-Pull™ technology, this powerful gas trimmer is ready to go at a moment's notice. Not limited to just taking down weeds, this flexible design allows to you direct the high-torque output of the 29cc engine into a variety of tools giving you the options you need to take care of any yard. If you need to clear land or till soil or even take hard-to-reach branches off trees, switch the tool and get the job done with versatility you can depend on.

  • Backed by a 2-year warranty and 10-year limited shaft warranty, Craftsman built the Craftsman Weedwacker Gas Trimmer to give you the service you deserve season after season
  • Make room in your shed or garage for this powerful tool and get your warm weather done right
  • 29cc 4-cycle engine has super-high torque and enhanced performance without mixing gas and oil
  • Speed Start™ technology capable with push-button starting and no pulling required
  • Incredi-Pull™ system reduces the starting effort with a slow, smooth pull
  • Straight shaft offers extended reach and more comfort for taller users
  • 8-in-1 yard tool attachment system capable (edger, cultivator, blower, brush cutter, hedge trimmer, pole saw, curve shaft with bump head, straight shaft with hassle-free head)
  • Hassle Free™ cutting head is more durable and easy to load with XQ-shaped .110-in. or .130-in. line
  • Adjustable, contoured handle with a comfortable ergonomic design
  • Deluxe guard provides advanced debris protection
  • 2-year full warranty
  • 10-year limited shaft warranty

This trimmer isnt that bad

I have had this trimmer for three weeks. I did have some of the problems people were frettin about (hard starting, heavy) This is what I have come to realize about this trimmer. 1st cold starting it can be a challenge. What works for me is placing the switch on 1, prime it 10 times and pull 5 times. 2nd turn the switch to 2 and without squeezing the trigger pull til it starts. 3rd let the trimmer idle for a minute or two. Then squeeze the trigger to rev it up. This thing has to be warm to use it. Once its good and warm there are no problems. Replacing the line can be a challenge cause there are often little grooves on the edge of the line making it hard to push in the holes. One side can be more difficult than the other. When the trimmer is good and warm make sure you put the choke on 3. I dont have problems with the unit bogging down on thick grass or weeds. All in all you have to have a lot of patience with this unit.

Worst idea ever!!!!

I have owned 4 craftsman string trimmers. The hassle free line idea is the worst. I use this trimmer to edge my driveway and sidewalk. I can use it only one time and I have to replace the line. When the line is worn down to the point that it has to be changed, you end up throwing half of the string in the trash because it takes that much to feed it through the head. What a waste. It weighs twice as much as my 25cc trimmer but does not have any more power. This is the worst trimmer I have ever owned. Unfortunately I have owned it too long to get my money back. Take my advice and dont waste yours.

Clutch and bearings burn out

Within 45 minutes, this baby died on me. I purchased the heavy duty version also and it died after 1 hour of use. Both of them just stopped spinning and made crackling sounds at the rotating disc. I spent and extra $90 and purchased a Husqvarna trimmer. Wow, from a Chevy Malibu (Craftsman) to a Mercedes Benz (Husqvarna) for only $90 more!

Junk

I bought this along with 3000 dollars worth of other lawn tools including a tractor and am happy with it all except this. The starter broke and I took it back and went to ********** and paid the extra 150 for a Husqavarna and love it. This one was hard to start and once it started was uncontrolable. The first use, second start it broke, I have always been a fan of Craftsman but this is a bad design and uncontrolable beast. I will not buy another and am crossing my fingers about the rest of the items I purchased.

Great weedwacker

The engine starts quickly and does a great job. The only problem is the amount of wasted line.

Powerful and Versatile

The 29cc 4-cycle weedwacker straight shaft gas trimmer is powerful and versatile enough to accomplish most of your light to medium duty yard work projects. Being able to attach various components for varying jobs is convenient. The 4-cycle feature also allows you to be more efficient by not having to supply yourself with, and mix, more than one container of gasoline.Once you get to know your machine, you will be more confident in starting it as well as its overall operation. Be sure to maintain the machine so it will be there for you when needed.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
