My wife had bought me a set of Craftsman drill bits and quick change tools for my drill. The first time I tried to use the drill bits and tried to drill into a thin piece of metal they snapped. When I returned to the local Sears store and told the management about the issue they said drill bits no longer had a warranty on them. I explained to the manager this was the first time I tried to use the drill bits. They said policy is what policy is and they would not exchange the drill bits. I WILL NOT be purchasing any more tools from Sears. The store manager told me they were willing to loose my business and others to uphold the new policy of "we no longer have a life time warranty policy on our tools", except hand tools, and those apparently at their option.
