At 95 ft lbs of torque and the small size this one gets in places for automotive use you could never get an impact gun and the impact gun makes too much power for most auto applications anyways. The butterfly fwd/reverse is great too. On top of that, how many bolts on a car require more than 95 ft-lbs of torque? Very few, that's for sure. You won't be disappointed with this one. I've also used it to drive lag bolts through wood on a large deck and it works billiant for that too.

Craftsman 3/8 in. Butterfly Impact Wrench is a very good tool at a great price!! I tried two other cheaper wrenches and was aggravated with the lack of torque and cheap feel. I saw the Craftsmen Wrench and immediately recognized the quality. When I used this tool I was more than ecstatic with its speed, torque and feel. My compressor even cycles less with this wrench. Great Price, Great Tool!!!!!

I bought this impact, took it home, put air fitting in, oiled it, revved it a couple times, put on a socket, did 5 seconds work, all the vanes in motor broke, seems the vanes are made out of something that resembles hard cardboard. Not sure if I got a melon? Probably gonna bring it back and try another one. Just for benefit of doubt.
