I prefer these ratchets to the more common Craftsman quick-release models. Even though the roundhead model doesn't have quick-release, it has a nicely machined body with a rounded handle that is much more comfortable than the quick-release model. These roundhead ratchets also have finer gears than the quick-release models

The Craftsman 3/8 inch drive ratchet is recommended for DIY. If anything goes wrong Craftsman backs it with a limited lifetime warranty.

I just got this ratchet a few weeks ago and I can't keep it out of my sight. I love it and it works so well. My only complaint is that it isn't really fully polished anymore and I don't know why. It has this spiral cut look to it that is shiny but its not really polished up close like the craftsman pro tools are. Its still a great tool to use and feels comfortable in the hands when wrenching with it. It also has an all metal ratcheting mechanism still. If you can get your hands on one before they don't offer them anymore then do it since this is an excellent tool. I think that they are still offering the 1/2 inch and 1/4 inch sizes too so snatch them up if you can.
