Stubby flex ratchet the right tool!

I use this in tight places, mainly on small nuts and bolts from 10mm to 14mm, it's the right size. The stubby is easy to turn and use. For less than $25, it's a quality ratchet with lifetime warranty.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

3/8 in. Drive Full Polish Stubby Flex Head Quick Release Ratchet

I love this ratchet, small, compact, easy to use and control, full of nice features and works great in tight areas, it has a flex head with quick release button to secure and release the socket. I use mostly on engine parts. It's a good tool you won't regret for under $25 dollars. Made in USA !

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Mediocre finish. Made in Taiwan.

Grinder marks above lever and polished over nicks and dings. "Made in Taiwan" printed on the back of plastic holder. Shame on you Sears. American citizens can't manufacture ALL Craftsman tools? Buyer beware!

Great Addition To Your Ratchet Selection

44834 Is another member of the 36 tooth ratchet family in the Craftsman Full Polished Line. At 5-1/2 inches in overall length and equipped with the adjustable flex head you will come to appreciate the ability to access tight areas. You will also find the easy-clean fully polished finish a plus as well. With the addition of a 3/8 inch to 1/4 inch adapter you may have just found your favorite ratchet for use with your 1/4 inch sockets. You need to remember that it is a 36 tooth ratchet and as such requires a 10 degree swing to engagement. For those of you concerned as to the Country Of Origin of the current offering of this ratchet, there is no need for concern. Prior to the submission of this review I took a close look and found it to be on par with the previous ratchet.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

A must have for the Box

I use this on almost every job that requires a ratchet wrench. I have a form of arthritis and this gets loosened nuts on or off much easier than a full length wrench.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

This ratchet has potential

When I first got this ratchet, I wasn't sure I would like it, but I ended up loving it. The ratchet could benefit from being lubricated (mine was bone dry), but the ratchet itself functions well. In the future, I would hope that the handle undergoes some revision, because it can become slippery. A simple raised rounded end would greatly prevent greasy hands from slipping off of the end of such a well polished ratchet.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

flex ratchet is nicer than you think.

This tool is of the quality one expects from Craftsman.  It is made in USA and works. It will likely continue to do so. It has the socket locking/quick release feature and a pretty standard number of teeth.  I prefer a fine tooth ratchet but this will work just fine in most circumstances.  In general the added functionality and convenience of a flex ratchet is something you may not notice until it is gone.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

You will never believe where you use it...

I have been using Craftsman tools for well over 50 years.  I had a career as an aircraft mechanic and used my tools every day in an unbelievable variety of circumstances.  Some tools were used seldom (but were still needed for those special circumstances).  I found that some tools were used much more frequently even though it did not seem they were the "best" tool.  This stubby flex head ratchet is one of those tools.  Designed to give you access is really tight quarters this ratchet also finds a place in everyday work.  Many times you want to use a small, light, handy tool to loosen fasteners that are not wrenched-down too tightly.  I used my stubby flex all the time, it was a very handy tool.
