I used this product once after oiling as directed. It removed 2 out of 4 bolts before failing completely. I've used Craftsman hand and air tools all my life and was always very happy with them until now. I returned it and exchanged for a Pro ratchet. Hopefully, it will be a better choice.

Just bought this tool today after taking returning a air tool kit. Used the money to buy this Craftsman 3/8 Air Ratchet. This is a very nice tool. The ability to adjust where the air is directed is well designed. This air ratchet has a very nice finish. The plastic trigger is comfortable. Easy to squeeze. Also, most all air tools are loud and make lots of noise. This model has reduced noice. Also, the 2 speeds; HI-LO setting are great as well. You can slowly take a nut or bolt off and when the bolt is loose, you can change to high speed. Excellent air tool. Works well with my 20 Gallon Craftsman Air Compressor as well. This is one tool to have in any air tool arsenol.

Craftsman 3/8 inch drive air ratchet was a good purchase to add to my tool chest. This air ratchet get frequent us in my shop where I repair outdoor power equipment. I also use it on personal vehicle repairs and for a couple of project cars.The exhaust port is great & directs the flow away from you. I used regular teflon tape to install my air adapter for my air hose & do not have any leaks. I use tool oil to lubricate my ratchet to keep it running smooth. This air ratchet is great for removing bolts fast and cuts down on time spent removing fasteners using a wrench or hand ratchet. The air ratchet has roughly 70 pounds of usuable torque. It's easy to flip from forward and reverse while working. I have used this ratchet for a little over a year & it is still running just as strong as the first day that I used it. The air ratchet is comfortable to hold & has a good grip. This has been very dependable and as I have said earlier, this air ratchet wrench has seen regular use in my shop on a variety of repairs and had performed quit well for me. I would not hesitate at recommending this air ratchet to my friends and relatives.

i love my air ratchet i can use it on just about anything i have yet to find something it will not loosen up or tighten enough its deffinately a must have in on any workbench.

I purchased two of these on May 19 2009. As of this date 1 has completely failed. The motor has froze and will not operate at all. From day one it leaked air, sometimes not work or would not reverse. @nd one is holding it's own. I am a 62 year old that is a hobbist mechanic. Have been using air tools for more than 40 years. It is probably just a fluke that 1 of 2 failed under same conditions. Am taking it baqack for replacement.

Being a mechanic all my life, I must say this is one of the nicest ratchets I have ever used. It is quiet and full of professional features that usually are found in ratchets that retail over $100.00. The rating exhaust and built in air regulator came in quite handy when I was working in those tight spots. The tool is very powerful and much quieter then most conventional ratchets in the market. I was truly impressed with this tool and will definitely recommend Craftsman tools to my fellow mechanic's. Thank you Sears for another great tool!!!
