Craftsman  3/8 in. x 50 ft. Air Hose Reel, Retractable

My dad wishes he had this in his garage way before now..He loves it..As a business owner thats great remarks ....

I buy a lot of Craftsman stuff, but this reel was overpriced.... for what they gave me.  Yes, it retracted hose as it should, but it is just made so cheaply, and the hose included is junk.  It doesn't flex like air hose should; even my chespest HF air hose is 100% nicer.  I didn't want to have to replace the hose on a brand new reel, so I returned this and bought another retractable reel, with much better hose, at a lower price through a mail order/internet retailer up in the 'northern' area.

Works great, it is just what I wanted. I mounted to the wall above my air line that runs to the compressor. When I need air I just turn on the compressor and pul the correct amount of hose I need. When finish the hose retracts in side all neat and clean. no mess no tripping over it.

I have owned one of these hose reels for 5 years and it still works perfectly. The hose included is a little on the cheap side, but for the home hobbyist it works well. If it were something I was to use everyday I would probably have replaced the hose.

I received this hose reel for a birthday present this year and absolutely love it. I have it connected to my Craftsman compressor and it takes the place of a 50-foot reel of tangled hose that was previously sitting in the middle of my garage floor.

I love the fact that it not only auto-retracts but that winder moves back and forth automatically to layer the hose neatly inside the reel.

Craftsman better start making better quality products. B4 even finishing the install. the bump stop on the air hose snapped right off. I Just finished hanging this from my 20 foot ceiling garage, and guess what, now i have to climb up there again unistall and bring back to the store. Not good craftsman. You guys should pay more attention to detail and the important things of your products. Not too happy about this purchase.

The Craftsman reel is great; the hose could have been better quality;...the instructions said I needed a bench/high wall mounting bracket for the location I needed to mount the reel and no one from Sears/Craftsman can seem to locate this part. I would think that someone could get me this piece!

I like this reel A LOT!  Keeps the hose orginized, never snags.  That part is great.  The hose that comes with it however sucks.  Breaks at the end, not that flexible, just poor quality PVC hose.  I ended up ripping the hose out and replacing it with 50ft of rubber hose.  Now it's perfect! :)

I love the Retractable air hose system.  It has not failed in 3 years of DIY service.  I mounted it in the front of my garage and use it throughout my shop and outside in the driveway.  

The system I purchased was made in the USA and in my opinion, the quality shows compared to the other cheaper units offered at sears. It was bit expensive at the regular price so I waited for it to go on sale through the craftsman clubcard.   I read the complaints about the hose getting stiff that others have posted and I can't comment on them because it seldom gets much below freezing more that a few times a year here.  However, I can say that I keep it under pressure ALL the time and it DOES NOT LEAK (not even a little), even after 3 years.     

I'm very happy with it and would purchase it again and would recommend it.  I gave it 4 stars rather than five because of the price.  But you get what you pay for!
