The boy and I were helping Mamma in the greenhouse today and she needed a small green house repaired. It seems as though the stringers from which the grow lamps were hung were broken and she needed a way to rehang the lights. Since the frame of the little green house is all steel I figured we could drill a few holes and hook the chains that the lights hang from that frame. Jake asked if he could drill the holes and, of course I obliged and said he could if he knew what he was doing. He assured me he did. He never counted on the driull bit walking all over the place and off the rounded steel tube! "How do you keep that from happening," he asked. As we all know, you need to dimple the steel to allow the drill bit to sit in once place and do its work! So, I grabbed the ball peen hammer, my Craftsman punch and chisel holder and the center punch and showed him how it was all done! Drilling holes and need to keep the drill bit from walking?
