A place for everything and everything in it's place.
I am currently working buy enough Craftsman Magnetic Socket Racks for all my sockets and accessories. I started out buy 9 Racks to accommodate all my quarter inch (1/4") sockets and their accessories. The sockets twist lock on to the rail reading face out for easy identification. After locking all the sockets in place I tested the magnetic strength of the rail wondering if the weight of the sockets would topple them over. I then opened and closed the drawer of my Craftsman tool chest repeatedly with some aggression. The Rack or Rail did not move and by putting the other eight Racks next to each other it only seemed to strengthen this system. I used the same procedure on the 3/8" and 1/2" models thinking that the bigger heavier sockets would have a negative effect. I am pleased to say they also passed the test. I am currently working oncompleting purchasing enough 3/8" and 1/2" Craftsman Socket Racks for all my sockets and their accessories.

      Socket Rack
They're nice to look at, but they are going back today. I bought four; 2 of the 3/8" and 2 of the 1/2". I also wanted the 1/4", but they didn't have any (none for over a month). It's a good idea to have the locking feature, but the socket is smooth, and you can't get a good enough grip to get it to lock....and that's with clean, dry hands. Can't imagine the frustration if your hands are greasy! I sprayed a little silicone in the mechanism, but still couldn't get past the little detent. I thought about taking them all apart and hand-working each one, but for $20 each, they should have done that at the factory. Maybe they should include a pair of vice-grips with each rack....

      3/8" Twist Socket Storage Rack

Bought this socket storage rack from the local deals page for nearly half off. I was impressed by its rather strong magnet and build quality. It holds my 3/8" sockets securely in my tool box. Made in USA!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

      You'll really like this

These socket rails are expensive compared to other simpler rails, but they are worth it. Sockets are held in securely with just a twist, and the magnetic base is wide enough to prevent the rail from tipping over.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

      Nice socket rack

They hold the sockets pretty well if you make sure the hole in the socket lines up with the pin on the rack otherwise they may not hold. The magnetic base is a plus although with a full rack of impact sockets sticking to the side of toolbox it's a little on the week side.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great bag socket rail as well

Great rail to put in my tool bag , sockets stand up right and be removed with just a twist. also can be taken out of bag and with magnetic base stuck to any metal surface.

      Excellent socket rack

Love this product, very innovative! Has a magnetic base to stay put in my tool box drawer, and locks when sockets are stored! I have 5 or 6 of these, will be purchasing two more!!!!!!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

      3/8 & 1/4 drive socket rack

They work well , but why would they sell it missing enough socket holders to properly fill the rack except to squeeze more money out of you for the additional holders . When full you still have enough room to select each individual socket easily .

I would recommend this product to a friend.

      Great Product!

I love a drawer with organized tools in them. This product worked very well. I love that there is a magnetic strip on the underside of this socket rack and that the sockets stay in place when you open a drawer because of that. I also like that the nubs can rotate and lock in a socket and that the nub positions can slide and are thus adjustable. You could also place these on the side of a tool box or a metal wall rack above a bench because of the magnet. My only gripes are minor -- (1) the 1/4 inch socket rack was not the same length as the 3/8 and the 1/2 (for consistency sake) and (2) the 3/8" and 1/2" socket racks were about 1" too long for my Lista tool box to fit front to back. I realize these are typically made for Craftsman tool boxes though and they were easy to cut with a hacksaw. I ended up manipulating things with ease. I bought two of these 1/4" strips and removed all of the nubs by simply removing a screw in the end cap. I had more 1/4" sockets than anything else so I moved some 1/4" nubs to the longer strips (3/8" unit) and replaced those 3/8" nubs on the shorter strip. It is very flexible to meet you individual needs that way.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
