Solid Tool Cart
The carton arrived pretty beat up and somehow the bag of bolts opened up during transit, so a few bolts/washers/nuts were missing ... but I was able to pick some up at the hardware store. I agree that it took some time to assemble (as the other reviewer noted), but I guess I was expecting that. Overall I'm very happy with the quality considering the price (bought on sale with free shipping). Hydraulic arms on the lid work real nice as do the griplatch/ball bearing drawers. Although I did need to to some adjusting on the drawers. A lever inside lets you choose whether the drawers are locked or not when the lid is closed, which is a nice feature too.

Poor design leads to difficult assembly
Overall nice tool cart but assembly is difficult. Two hours probably. Design includes plastic trim with cut-outs meant to hold 3/8 inch bolts in place while tightening. The plastic is not nearly strong enough to hold bolt heads while securing supplied nylon locking nut. The bolt simply spins and the only way to tighten is to shove flat-tip screwdriver to wedge against plastic. It does not work well and only allows partial tightening. Took six calls and an hour seeking help from Sears. I will most likely return for something else.

Service cart

i purchased this product to store additional tools. The packaging was torn to bits when I received it no damage of missing parts. assembly was a little challenging the plastic corners and angel iron uprights that go together to form the supports at each corner of the cart was very hard to tighten up the carriage bolts are not long enough to go thru both pieces so you have to figure out how to clamp this together so you can tighten the nuts. One of the small drawers will not lock when closed. I would have given this a higher rating if not for the difficuties of assembly and the drawer not locking.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Love It

I have had this box for a few months now and I love it. I work in an autoshop and use it every day, open and close the top 50 times a day. No problems with it, all drawers open and close smooth even loaded down. Top shocks work great still. Solid box for sure.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Craftsman 3 Drawer GRIPLATCH Utility Cart

Sturdy construction with 2" wide wheels makes a great tool cart. There is plenty of room between the bottom tray and the drawers for bulky items (small air compressor and battery charger). The latched drawers stay shut while you wheel the cart around so you don't have to stop and shut them all the time. Smooth action when you do open them. Note that the cart comes with a set of drawer liners included. I had some concerns about other reports of storage carts being damaged in transit. I picked my unit up at a Sears outlet and there were no scrapes or dents at all. The unit came well packed and was reasonably easy to assemble. I cosider this a good investment for the money!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Disappointed

Ordered the previous 1 drawer model when it was on sale.

Received it at Christmas. When I opened the box, the toolbox was all dented in on the sides. surprisingliy the carboard didn't show any signs of damage, but it appeared the box had been resealed. Upon returning it I found that toolbox was no longer available. My guess is that I got one of the last ones, and it was damaged in some warehouse, so Sears simply taped it back up and sent it out.

Next, since this was not available, they convinced me to get this 3 drawer toolbox. Ordered it, received it, assembled it. A couple of issues: 1 the assembly directions should have been in a different order as I had to remove some bolts to reach other ones. oh-well

Then one of the top drawers doesn't even latch and the other one barely. This is the 2nd Craftsman toolbox I have purchased that had issues with the drawers latching. I had to return this previous one as well for damage during transport. However, it wasn't mobile so it isn't that big of a deal, but on this one the drawer automatically opens as I push the cart around.

Also the casters are fairly low quality as well as the bearings can stick preventing the wheels from swiveling properly.

I can't say customer service has been horrible as they did their best in the store to help me, but 3 trips to the store, Waiting 3 times as they had to be ordered (1 for the first box, 2 for the 3 drawer, and 3 for the next replacement), and now I have to assemble it again.

Considering I have purchased 3 tool boxes from Craftsman and 2 have had issues, I can honestly say I will not spend another dime at Sears. I have spent $1000's on tools (mainly craftsman) but I am heading elsewhere.
