I've had my little 3 gallon 1.5 hp Craftsman air compressor for 5 years. It is easy to tote around, provides me with all the scfm that my 18, 16 and 15 gauge brad & finish nailers and staplers suck up and runs smoothly and quietly. I have about 50 hrs. run time on it and have never had a it fail me.
It's portability allows me to move it to each work site and gives me the freedom to finish projects away from my large shop floor standing compressor. No, it won't power air tools or large framing air nailers, but for what my on the go needs are, it works just fine!
I looked at several other small portable air compressors and found this one to offer the most features, highest air output and ease of operation, all at the best $$$ value. My Craftsman 33 gallon shop compressor has been with me for 15 years...this little brother was a no-brainer!

Good value for running nail guns, staplers, inflating and the like. Air hose is inconvenient to use because the coils get tangled and the hose wants to pull the tool away from you if you are on a ladder. I like the oiled compressor because it is quieter and they last longer.
I bought this compressor to blow out my sprinkler system in the winter, and I wasn't sure if it would do the trick. It worked like a champ. Tank fills up quickly and there was plenty of air flow to get the water out of the sprinkler lines.
A good value for the price. The compressor is quieter than I expected.it works great and built up pressure quickly.i hope that continues. Does seem heavier than some of my other compressors.
THE ONLY KEY TO THIS COMPRESSOR IS KEEPING FULL OF OIL WE ARE A SERVICE COMPANY AND WE USE THEM EVERYDAY.WE MAKE SURE WE STRAP THEM IN THE UPRIGHT POSSITION IN OUR SERVICE VEHICLES AND BY DOING THAT WE GOTTEN MANY GOOD YEARS OF USE WE THE CRAFTSMAN THREE GALLON COMPRESORS
The Craftsman 3 Gallon Horizontal Air Compressor is very dependable and lightweight. It's size makes it convenient to store and transport. It generates enough pressure to operate any type of nailer from framing to trim.
This is the second 3 gallon compressor that I've purchased from Sears. It serves every purpose that the average homeowner needs from operating air tools and sprayers to inflating auto and bicycle tires. This is a really good value for the cost.
easy to use and and figure out. first one i have ever purcahsed now i use it all the time! very quite and fills tank fast. rubber feet keep it in place while filling tank
This is a nice little compressor. It tends to dance around a bit from the engine vibration, but fills its air tank pretty rapidly. The accessory hose is cheap, but serviceable. I recommend you use a liberal amount of plumber's tape for both ends of the hose.
Bought this compressor 13 months ago and used it once to air up a tire. Yesterday I used it again and noticed a leak. I turned it off and the on/off switch broke off. Since the one year warranty expired, I took the cover off to see if I could repair it. When I got the cover off, 4 pieces fell out onto the work bench. Now the compressor still runs, but the gages don't register the air pressure. Do yourself a favor and look for another brand.
