I bought this compressor 10 years ago and am still incredibly happy with it. For small quick jobs, it can't be beat. It doesn't have enough CFM to use an impact wrench with it but it's quite good for using a nail gun or air grinder/ sander. It's small enough to carry to the job location and just big enough to get the job done. I have never had any regrets with the purchase of this unit. It does vibrate around a little bit but I expected that it might be due to it's overall weight.
I've had it for about two weeks now. It's a nice unit. Not too loud. Small tank, so it has to refill pretty often, but I was expecting that. I had an issue with the bolts for the handle, like a few other people have talked about. It actually looks like they used the wrong nut bolt combination. I had to file down one area on one of the bolts in order to get it back on. The unit lost a star just because I think it's ridiculous that more than one person has an issue like this. And to top it off....Why are the bolts tightened all the way in the first place. But I guess since that is all I have to complain about so far, then I must be pretty happy.
This compressor is small and light enough to take to the job you are doing. It's quiet and easy to use. It easily keeps up with a nail gun at 100PSI. The handle is positioned for easy carry and the rubber feet allow you to use it just about anywhere from the basement to the roof.

After finding overpriced used junk online and at garage sales, I searched thoroughly for a new, compact, portable unit that would met my needs, for about $100-125. I did lots of "homework" and shopping around, and it paid off. I am sure I have put this unit through more abuse in 6 months than most homeowners will in a lifetime. NOTE: There is a HUGE difference between "Piston" type compressors (like this one), vs "Diaphragm" style (like the worthless, slow, noisy ones you plug in a cigarette lighter). Buy a piston compressor like this one. Do NOT buy an "Oil-Free" compressor, they are diaphragm units and you will be disappointed. They take 10-20 minutes to air up a tire, this thing will do it in less than a minute. My store was out of stock, so I ordered it online, and they shipped it to my home for FREE. This unit was in perfect condition out of the box, (I was worried, box was beat-up by freight company). Poured in the included oil, and put it to work. I really like that it came with a hose and accessory kit, (even a roll of teflon tape!), and oil. I bought a $4 quick-change coupler at the auto parts store and put it on the hose, so I can change tools quickly. A GREAT feature is the adjustable pressure regulator, and dual gauges. You don't have to worry about over-inflating anything, just set the pressure you want with a ****. I have used it HARD for the past 6 months, and it is proving to be very durable. It does not have enough capacity to constantly operate heavy-duty "air-hog" tools like die grinders, but with the 3 gallon tank, I just let it catch-up between short work sessions. NOTE: I highly recommend changing the oil after the first hour or two of actual running time. Just like a car engine, the break-in process creates metallic wear particles. That first oil change is the most critical, and in a big way, determines how long your engine (or compressor) will last. You only need a very tiny bottle of compressor oil, (It only holds like 4 Oz). Easy to change with just a pair of pliers or adjustable wrench for the drain plug, just drain it into an empty plastic water or soda bottle. Cheap insurance to ensure a long life. You can see the oil through the sight plug, when it starts to get dark, change it. I have changed mine twice since then, and I've gotten this thing so hot, several times, running almost non-stop for an hour or more at a time, and figured it would die. Nope! I am very satisfied with it. Kind of noisy, (what compressor isn't?). Thinking the air filter inlet could be modified to flow more air, (to improve the performance). Overall glad I took the time to research and select this unit. Highly recommend it, unless you need a larger unit. The best small household compressor you will find, and under $100 on sale. Oh, and it holds air pressure forever! I haven't used it in a month, it's been unplugged, and it still has 100# in the tank.
I have only used it a couple of times, and so far, there has been no problems. Everything went together easily, with the exception of the handle, which was a bit tough because they put the one bolt so tight. Without getting something like a breaker bar out, I had to heave on it a bit to get the one bolt loose, but once it did, there was no problems getting everything together. The compressor is not quiet, but is quieter then what I expected. I would say it is about as loud as my old sears 1ccf regular air compressor made for tires. The rubber on the feet is kinda stiff, I would say it has a texture halfway between a car tire and plastic. The one thing I was worried about was I read a lot of reviews about leaking oil on last years model, but so far, i have had no problems with any leaks. If I had any complaints, it would only be that I wish it was a bit lighter, but I was expecting the weight when I got it. it states is weighs 47 pounds in the description, so definitely not light. How long will it last over time, only time will tell. Overall, i am very happy with my purchase.
