3-in-1 Landscaping Kit Edges, Trims and Blows

<

Having the lawn that will have the whole neighborhood green with envy is easy with the Craftsman 3-in-1 landscaping kit.  Edge, trim and blow your mess away with one simple and easy-to-use tool. No more pulling to get the engine going, thanks to the Speed Start Technology that starts up with a simple push of the button. The 25 cc 2-cycle engine will run smoothly for you with a mixture of gasoline and oil.

The convenience of the 3-in-1 landscaping kit is that all you have to do is add the attachments without having to take out and put away three different tools. The trimmer attachment uses a straight-shaft design that gives you a less noisy sound because of the hassle-free cutting head with XQ-shaped .110-inch line. The blowing attachment features two nozzles so you can customize how much of an area you need to blow at a whopping 145 mph. Lastly, the edger is equipped with a 5-inch guided wheel so you can get that clean edge around sidewalks and landscaping with ease.

Happy (Lawn) Gardener
I got a great product at a great price! I ordered it online at Sears.com. While I have only used the edger and trimmer (and not the blower yet) attachments, the ease of use, exchageablity of tools and the results are outstanding. I did have an issue with the edger, which did not rotate when attached, but, as Sears is noted for, they gladly exchanged the edger for a new one that worked fine. Great versatile lawn tool

Terrible! Crafsman has gone downhill
I have had this item for 2 years and have spent more in repair than the unit cost. Once again the unit broke and sears wants a $35.00 just to look at it when the unit cost 129.00. Do not waste your money on this item unless you want to buy a new one each year. For the past 10 years I always bought Craftsman and their products are not what they once were.

Horrible Warranty | Nice Attachments

Background: I have had this unit for almost 2 years (1 year 11 months). It has a 2 year warranty and I just started having issues with it. I have always taken very good care of it and changed the filters regularly. I always use fresh gas and high quality 2 stroke oil hoping to get the longest life from my lawn equipment. The sears warranty department is a joke they wanted 200 dollars to repair the broken power head (Seized engine, piston broke, and clutch blew apart when I was using it. Do not plan to have your trimmer repair under warranty. Power Head: 1/5 stars This power head was decent for almost 2 years. It did take a long time to start the 3 step start method is great but it still takes about 10-11 strong pulls to get this thing to start plus 12 presses of the primer. It was always very consistent and I never had an issue getting it started. The day it blew up the clutch shattered and breached the housing shooting pieces of metal into my leg. Luckily I was going at a low rpm and they did not break the skin. I still cannot fathom how a piston failure with the correct gas mixture is not a manufactures defect before the warranty period is up. Trimmer Attachment: 3/5 stars The trimmer attachment was hard to use. I initially thought that with the simple single line trimmer head I could just carry additional pieces of line and replace as I was trimming but I was wrong. The line gets wrapped so tightly around the head you need pliers to remove the old line. Also you end up trimming with very short line with no way to advance it so you end up changing the line very frequently and throwing out a bunch of line. I ended up buying another bump feed head and this made the attachment much better. Edger Attachment: 3.5/5 stars This was a decent attachment with 2 issues. Issue 1 was that the edger tends to get clogged very easily as there is no place for the dirt to exit. This causes you to stop pickup the unit and shake it. Issue 2, there is a metal foot that runs lower then the guide wheel to help keep you going in a straight line. This is great if you are using it around sidewalks all the time but if you want to use it around flowerbeds it is useless and you have to remove the entire rear wheel. Blower Attachment: 4/5 stars The reason I did not give it 5/5 is that the air nozzle always blew off the unit. I ended up screwing it to the housing and that worked great. It could also stand a bit more power but was strong enough for my needs as a homeowner without large amounts of leaves to blow. Conclusion: 2/5 stars Overall I give this entire package a 2/5 due to the attachments (It would be 1/5). Just be warned that you will be buying new power heads frequently and it will be cheaper in the long run to get a quality lawn tool. I have went out and purchased a quality commercial unit that I hope last me 10+ years. I cannot recommend anyone buying this unit.

Don't waste your time.

Used it 3 times and now I tried to use yesterday and it will not start. I have followed the instructions, I even purchased the Craftsman fuel recommended from salesman. I figured I flooded it so let it sit and tried again today, nothing. So disappointed, I should not have purchased after reading reviews, but I wanted to return to Craftsman after trying Poulan(Horrible). Looking for receipt to return, HATE this product. Do NOT purchase unless you want to workout instead of doing your yard.

Disappointed TOTALLY after first use!!

TO BE HONEST?. I REALLY HAD A HARD TIME USING THIS TRIMMER AND THE ATTACHMENTS. I AM ALREADY LOOKING TO BUY SOMETHING ELSE. THE ANGLES THAT YOU NEED TO USE THIS COMFORTABLY JUST WASNT THERE?.. I WAS REALLY SORE AFTER USING THIS FOR TOTAL OF 30 MINS. DEFINITELY NOT FOR UNFIT, ELDERLY OR LADIES TO USE IT. I WAS TRYING TO REPLACE MY OLD ECHO AND DEFINITELY GOING BACK TO ECHO TRIMMER AGAIN ENGINE?. Engine works fine and starts fine. I bought the adaptor that you put on drill to start the engine (One of the BEST features of this product). TRIMMER HEAD?. Trimmer works fine but with the guard its heavy. I had to take the guard out from the trimmer head and was able to finish doing my small yard. The trimmer lines that came with it was so weak, it wore out very quickly. I had to replace the line 6 times before i could finish my small yard. I am 5'11'' tall and the shaft was too short for me? I had to lean/reach forward to use it. My back was REALLY sore after i finished using it for 15 mins. BLOWER ATTACHMENT?.. Blows strong but heavy. It is on an awkward angle/position and i had to turn it sideways it use effectively. EDGER ATTACHMENT?. the curve shaft is a pain in the **** to hold it in that angle and edge.

Not Perfect, but overall good combo for $

I recently purchased a new home, having always lived in an apartment, I had limited to no yard equipment. My first trimmer purchase was an orange branded trimmer only, for roughly $220. After the first few times mowing the yard, I realized quickly, an edger and blower were a necessity. I was mixed on this unit because at one point the reviews were about 50/50. People liked it or hated it. A trimmer, blower, and edger for under what i paid for one trimmer? I'll give it a shot. First off, will state this is somewhat initial reaction of quality and ease of use. Power Unit: I had seen several reviews people complaining of lack of power. I will somewhat agree with this. Using the edger tool, if you have never edged your yard or if you are trimming heavy thick brush with the trimmer, it does struggle a bit. Trimming, the orange brand blew through it while this one had a hard time. Edging, I assume my technique and the less amount of growth it needed to remove on edging the second go around, the unit handled perfectly fine after the first edging. People also complained of the unit not cranking after warm up and overheating. I had no issues at all with this. Shut it off and cranked it back up several times with no trouble. Trimmer: The head design is not the best or user friendly. Regular grass it worked well and had enough power, but I tested the power in a higher thicker brush area and it lacked power, and it did bind up in the head. Once cleaned out and stuck to bermuda grass, it did just fine. My 1/4 acre lot, I don't require much trimming, I don't see it as a big issue. I did see in a review someone complained of head angle. If you are trying to clear a large area, you do have to hunch over it seems to keep it cutting flat. I am 5'9" and I found myself slumped over while string trimming. Blower: Blower worked great, perfect for blowing out the garage and blowing off the driveway. Only complaint is that it arrived scuffed due to the box being damaged during shipping. Edger: Worked great after the initial cut. Will bind up if going through thick stuff, but just back it off and go back in slow and it works great. Once you get down the technique, it works very well. Only downside is the weight, the grip did require a few retightens. If you require minimal string trimming and are looking for a budget friendly gas blower and edger combo I highly recommend the unit. The main reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the string trimmer design. Not sure if switching to an aftermarket head will aid it it binding up a bit, but head angle needs to be redesigned to adapt to taller operators.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

BAD

This is the worst trimmer I have ever wanted money on. It is heavy, the attachments don't work correctly, and is not balanced well with attachments. As a trimmer alone it is ok but heavy. With attachments not worth the gas to pick it up from the store. I would not recommend this product to anyone not even my worst enemy!
