Crown molding...what a job! If you do crwon and use nails then you will need to set them! We used a pneumatic nail gun and still needed to set a couple of them and without this tool, well, you're out of luck! Seven dollars is a cheap price to pay for a tool that will save you more than that in pain and suffering!

I actually own two complete sets of these Craftsman Nail Sets. One I bought a couple of years ago and one that I found inside my father's Craftsman Toolbox that I received when he passed away. His set has to be at least 30 - 35 years old and maybe older. The two sets are identitical. They haven't changed a bit over the decades. His set shows a little more wear. I can't really attribute that to their age though. I think more likely it is due to him having used his more. I use mostly air-powered nailers in the shop which automatically sets the nail. This is a luxury he never enjoyed. If Craftsman asked my advice on how to improve this tool, all I would offer is that they color code the 3 various sizes to make identification easier. They could use the Craftsman colors of Red, Black and Professional Yellow,

Craftsman 3 pc. Nail Set is great for finishing small nails on various wood projects. The fine pints are great and keep from damaging your work surfaces of your projects. This nail set also works well on flooring projects to set nails. I have used my set on various projects and every one of these still have retained their tips. They are solid and durable and have lasted me a while out in the shop and in the house when I need them. This set really helped me when I was building some shelves in my shop and was adding the backing to the shelf case. You can't see any visable nails. Simple yet handy little tool set.

these nail sets are great for finish work and small nails where appearances count. They have the small punch that are perfect for finish nails and trim nails. the medium is good for a little bit of both there in the medium range. and the big obviously for regular sized nails. the all medal punches are good and strong, but without the color coated rubber are not as easy to find in a full tool box. but very helpful and a must have in every toolbox.
