They are Craftsman Professional pliers and I was incredibly disappointed when I saw that these are made in China. They just don't have the build quality I've come to expect from Craftsman tools. Also, the gold lettering down the sides of the molded grips has mostly worn off and it's only been about a month.
If I had wanted cheap Chinese pliers, I could have gotten them at a much cheaper price elsewhere.

Great little set of pliers! Even though it is made in China ;( it still looks like quality made. the joints, cutting edge, alignment of two pieces are all good. don't know about the hardness, but only time will tell.

I added this on to my order to get ************* and I am very glad I did. These small pliers cover a gap in my tool set. I already had large and very small these are right in the middle and get far more use than I expected and have held up great.
I purchased these pliers for small jobs. I already had similar sized pliers, but these caught my eye because of the cushioned grip (easier for my large hands to control) and because of the springs that automatically open the pliers (one thing my large fingers do not have to also do in tight places). After using them for a short time, I noticed that the pliers, when closing, did not pinch my palms and fingers like my old ones did. Very happy all the way around.

The 3 piece mini plier set gets all the little jobs you need to complete done with ease. Plus they are small enough to carry in your pocket. I've used all of them to work on small projects were larhe pliers just won't cut it.
I have the older Craftsman set from the late 1990's that have blue handles. I like the larger handles that there have. They seem to be about the same quality as the old set I have. I would pay ~50% more $$$ if they were made in the USA. Sears, please give more thought to keeping your Craftsman tools "Made in the USA"...
Yes, they are made in China. But they are Craftsman branded and therefore have a lifetime warranty, no receipt required. Cannot find a fault with them, the jaws close perfectly. The tip touches first by a hair, as it should be, in the set I received.
3 pairs of Craftsman's pliers with 3 different head styles. Wire snips, Needle Nose , and a shorter Needle nose style for general small object use. Nice Feel, Craftsman quality throughout.
I saw these on sale and went up to sears to buy them. After reading all the current reviews, I decided to look at them first hand before a purchase. Since the pliers just slide into place, I took each out checked them out. What i found was not encouraging. The diagonal wire cutters, when held up to the light, the tip and very bottom (closest to the hinge) touched, but about 2/3rds of the blade, which was all down the middle had a significant amount of light coming through. This would not be a big deal if i was cutting 12 gauge wire, but the gap was way to big to cut through small wire, which is what these were intended for. Next I looked at the needle nose pliers. i found the same thing, hitting in the same places, at the ends, but the metal was bowed in the center and left a good 1/16, or maybe a hair higher, of gap, down the middle of that bow.. and the gap did not go for 2/3rds of the pliers part like the wire cutters did, but was more like 90% of the gripping part. Last I looked at the pair that was both, pliers and cutter.. Those, the wire cutter part seemed ground pretty good, but the whole length of the needle nose part of them had about 1/16" gap between them. No where did the needle nose head come together. I also squeezed all 3 of them to see the strength.. None of them had a very strong feeling to them. They all started to bend as I squeezed the handles, and felt like they were going to break. There was a pair of the black handled regular wire cutters there, and those did not feel anything like these.. The difference.. These were pro series and made in china.. The other pair was regular craftsman and made in America.. So basically, yes, these can be used.. but no, I do not feel like they will work for very long. One last thing.. I felt the handles and the handles felt pretty good in my had, and felt like that would hold up.. but if the only thing that will hold up is the handle, then what good are they?
