I ordered this item on line. I was disappointed when it arrived because it is now made in China. Also, they sent me an inch set. The 3 adapters work with fractional ratchet wrenches. Example: the 1/2" drive adapter fits in an 11/16" wrench. I wish I knew that in advance, I would have preferred a metric set. Also, I wish the adapters would lock into the box end of the wrench but they don't, they remain loose.

I have often overlooked these cap sets when purchasing tools at Sears in the past thinking I would never need one. Finally I had to do some engine work to a FWD car that had limited clearance where a wrench would not fit and a socket/ratchet setup would not either. Using these end caps, socket and wrench, I was able to complete the job and save many hours struggling with trying to make other tools do the job. Well worth the money spent.

Great value and a must have.

Nuts and bolts are often tucked away in inaccessible places. Design engineers do not think of "maintenance" in their designs generally. I worked on aircraft for years and often found fasteners in difficult locations. Often I could get a socket over the fastener but then did not have room to attach the socket wrench (ratchet) to the socket. There just was not enough room. These socket caps solve the problem. With the cap inserted in the drive end of the socket you have access to a hex drive to turn the socket. All you need is a box end or open end wrench of the correct size. Certainly not as convenient as using a socket wrench but these will allow you to turn those hidden fasteners. "Sacramento" Bruce Conklin

The quality of the set is very good. However, the 3/8 inch adpater needs a metric 14mm, and the other two needs SAE of 3/8 and 11/16 inch, respectively. A smart way to force you buy their tools to use this set? I'm very annoyed by this.

not the most necessary tools in the box......until you get into a tight area that a ratchet just wont fit and a wrench alone just wont break the nut/bolt loose. i've had my set for a few months and used them on several occassions . They pay for themselves the first time you need them. especially useful on any and all equipment{cranes, forklifts, manlifts and conveyors}

This is a very inexpensive way to use standard sockets has a low profile socket. Just combine with a ratcheting wrench and your good to go. I use them in the aircraft industry and love them.
