I bought 13 sets of those along with extra studs to organize all of my sockets. I've tired a ton of holders and organizers, but those are on the money; they are very affordable, simple in design, and allow for great flexibility when organizing sockets. I mounted those on a peg board with zip-ties and could not be happier with the way my sockets are organized now. ...and Sears, thank you for making those in the USA, not China. ...if there rest of the manufacturing was brought back, like back in the old days...
Best socket rails I've ever used. I think I even like these better than the metal Snap-On ones. Four stars only because they don't have enough posts on them, and all my local stores are perpetually out of stock of the add-on post kits. (However, at least you can theoretically get them, but they pretty much have to be ordered online.) Seriously, no downsides to these socket rails at all that I've found yet, they just work like socket rails should.
My only real complaint is that they size these bigger than they need to be. Either give me enough of the connectors to fill the entire rail, or give me a shorter rail. I could possibly understand if they were full when using larger sockets, but I have been unable to fill a rail with just the included parts. I bought a few sets and ended up consolidating the rails down. It's about the same price to by more rails than to buy the spare bits.
I finally got tired of all my sockets bouncing around in my toolbox drawer. These were exactly what I needed to put a little organization in my life. They work just as promised. Quality product.
I've had these for years and just bought some more. I actually cut them off so they're a little shorter to conserve space in the drawers but it doesn't effect them at all. These are very, very convenient to grab and drag under the car with you and then you have all your sockets, in order by size to figure out what you need. I have metrics on one and SAE on another. I am constantly taking off sockets and putting them back on, haven't even started to wear out yet!
I love the quality and versatility of the socket rack. My only comaint is that there are not enough studs on each rack and the racks are long enough to hold both my metric and standard 1/4 inch drive sockets. The other problem is you have to buy them in a 3 pack with all three drive sizes included. Need to offer single size option. Now I have a bunch of 3/4 inch drive studs left over.
These heavy plastic racks are MUCH better than any flimsy metal rack. I was hesitant at first, but these really are super strong. I load them to maximum capacity with deep wall impact sockets (heavy) and they all stay on securely, but can be removed quickly off the stud. It even sits flat in my toolbox.
