Well made quality product. A little short on studs for the price charged. Needs to include more studs to get a better review. I have more than eight half inch sockets that need to fit on the strip.
These rails are cool, hold sockets tight and help keep my tool box neat and orderly. I have some old metal rails but the sockets fall off or the clip pops off the back side when trying to put the socket on. This wouldn't happen if I riveted the rail down but that would make one problem into another one. With these rails the problem is solved plus I can put deep sockets on their side and the rail works great. I do wish the clips were more in number, say 15 or the replacement clips were cheaper. Seems you always have more sockets then the rail will hold. The color is cool black always works for mechanics as they don't show dirt and grease marks as say a red rail would. Also an adjustable stop at the end where you add new clips would be great so I could cut a rail shorter for a more custom fit in my very crowded tool box.
I caught these at a sale price which I had never seen before and ordered 5 sets. I can now place all my sockets in order in a single drawer plus assemble a working set to keep in the Motorhome. They are so much easier to handle than the spring clip holders. I watched for about two years to catch them @ a sale price I thought reasonable.
The racks are the best quality I've seen compared to all the other options from other stores. The plastic is thick and ridged - certainly good enough for a DYI customer like myself. Sears sells replacement nipples which are useful since you can put more sockets on each rail. Most folks I know like to put more sockets on the rail.

I knock off one star because only 8 studs are included on each rack. The average "set" is minimum of 9 sockets so you are forced to spend another $3 for 5 more studs. Now to the product.... It's plastic, but it feels more solid and durable than the metal rails I had previously purchased from Sears. The ball bearing on each stud hold the socket securely (the deep sockets would frequently fall off the metal rail). I purchased this 3 pc. set for $7.96 on sale so don't pay full price of $13. The extra studs were on sale for $2.54 from $3. These rails come in grey as well for "Metric", but I chose to keep em all black due to stock in hand at my local Sears store. I only wish these rails had some distinguishing color to help identify between 3/8 and 1/2" drives (you have to look closely before grabbing the correct rail). Hope this helps....
I was skeptical of the other reviews' claims that the sockets would be held firmly by these holders. All three sizes "grab" the sockets with a grip that is almost too hard to break manually. Arranging my sockets with these holders creates an organized and easy-to-see-what I am looking for toolbox.
I like the way you can easily remove and replace the sockets on these racks. The rails are flexible but I am okay with them. Sometimes the way the rails flex causes the sockets to slide up and down the rail. The extra studs are available if you need more of them at an extra cost. I measured about 13-3/16" on the rail where you can install studs. You cannot add as many 1/2" drive sockets as the 1/4" drive sockets per rail. The racks I purchased said they were made in USA and they have a lifetime warranty. From what I understand the black racks are for SAE sockets and the gray racks are for metric sockets. I am not sure but I think the metric racks are sold in Sears stores. These racks are good for organizing and storing loose sockets. I use them inside some of my portable tool boxes to keep sockets from going all over the place. If you need a longer rail like these Armstrong has longer rails available in either red SAE or blue metric. The studs do not come standard on Armstrong rails and you have to buy them separate. The Craftsman studs will work on the Armstrong rails and are cheaper to buy from Sears.
