get some drawer liners to put on this product because you will scratch it. Not impressed for the price. The side piece was badly damaged. Be sure to call your local sears hardware store to have damaged pieces replaced for free. Do not call the number on the parts list because the operators are not able to order what you need replaced.

Parts were bent coming out of the box, had to bend them back into shape for assembly. Is easier to assemble before installing the door kit. In general I was not happy with Sears buying experience. One part was missing and after a whole morning of calling and chatting I was told to go to local store where they offered to pull out the missing screw! Additionally be aware that Sears will not do any price matcing on this item if it goes on sale the week after you buy it so be sure to wait until it is on sale to buy in first place.

I purchased this set of shelves to use with the Craftsman 6? work bench (Sears Item # 00910138000 Model # 10138). These shelves were ordered online and picked up at the local Sears store; arrived in better condition than the work bench. I assembled the work bench before the shelves arrived, using the 1/4 inch carriage bolts supplied, and some bolt/washer/nut assemblies just spun before fully tightened. When I picked up the shelves, I also picked up a bunch of 5/16 inch hex bolts, flat washers, lock washers, and hex nuts (be sure to check threads-per-inch match at the store). The larger hex bolts are a bit tighter fit through the square assembly holes, but the finished product seems much sturdier than with the original hardware. Good garage work bench shelves; already in use.

So I going along putting this shelf module together, and I get to the Key Latch. The instruction say to mount 11" from top. IT DOES NOT tell you that if you place the Module on the LEFT side of the workbench that the latch must lock from the BOTTOM. It does NOT TELL you that you must drill TWO NEW HOLES and that the two new holes must be out from the pre-drill holes use for mounting the shelf. I broke my latch and had to fabricate a new one from some fence plates I had left over from a fence project. Just be very carefull and remember that if you mount your shelf unit on the LEFT instead of the RIGHT side of your bench, that the KEY Latch will lock from the bottom and not the top. I gave it 4 stars for this. Took and extra hour to put together because of this.

I purchased and installed these shelving units on both the 6 and 8 foot craftsman bench frames. The install is very straight forward and it goes together fairly quick. These will make your bench frame more rigid and get you some extra storage at the same time. The adjustable shelves are held in place by self tapping sheet metal screws - Machine screws would be nice. Finish is high gloss so plan on putting something on your shelves if you don't want them to get scratched. If you don't care, they look and feel durable and are all rock solid once installed.

I took the advice of those who built the 8' Craftman workbench . ..put the modules in during the bench assembly or you're going to have disassemble you workbench to add modules like this. The problem I had was installing the shelves. Without a magnetic philips head, I struggled to get the screws into the pre-drilled holes. I had to brace-up the shelf to get it lined-up and the hole and screw never lined-up right. The shelf install took me about 3 hours! Also there's plenty of leftover screws...except for the shelves. After I done, I was happy until I needed to adjust the shelf height... Get the door kit!

I got this to go with my 8' workbench. It was easy to install. Just install inside leg. Pick where you want shelves and put 4 screws in each shelf. There are a ton of holes so you can adjust them where ever you like. Now the bad part, my leg unit was dented and the shelves had a few imperfections in them and are not made out of very heavy steel.
