The first pair of these I had were black and yellow, so the "Pink color problem" didn't bother me. These work very well for what they are designed to do, and that is support a load (car, truck, bed frame?) on a hard surface. They have worked so well that I got another pair so I could support all four corners of a sports car at the same time. When on a level surface they provide an adequate anchor and I have never had one try to tip over. Adjusting the height is reasonably simple, and when the height is set correctly the locking handle is forced against the ratched bar so the added weight of a vehicle helps to lock it. Once the weight is removed they are very easy to unlock and colapse.
As mine sit outside most of the time a red one would fade to pink eventually anyway. I like them and would buy them even if they were completely pink.
this is made in china and pretty cheap, they do not sit flat on all 4 legs, 1 of the triangular flat plates at one of the legs is not welded on right or it is coming apart, I have not used these, I have to go and return these but they are heavy and I hate to return stuff, I wish they were what I thought and read b4 I bought.
As others have said, this seems like a good, durable, inexpensive set of jack stands. The only thing I would note is the very top of the jackstand. I've used others that have more of a flat top, which I prefer. These stands have a notch that fits the rim on the bottom of your car where most people place jackstands during use. If that sounds confusing, just look under your car, or in your car's owner's manual for directions on where to place jackstands. You'll see what I'm referring to. What I dislike with this product, however, is not the notch itself, but the way the rest of the top angles up and away from the notch, like a big "V". On my car, this is a problem. Because of the sharp angle of the top of this jack, it hits a cross bar before the rim of my car is fully seated in the notch of the jack. As a result, I have to place the jack a little more towards the middle of the car than I would like. Not a big deal, but if the jack had a more flat top, this wouldn't be a problem.
These are definitely my go to jack stands for any work I do under the car. I have been using craftsman jack stands since I owned my first car and they are as reliable as jack stands get and at a reasonable price for a 3 ton jack stand. Probably not worth it if it's priced over $30 but a bargain when it's priced around $25.
these jack stands are made from great quality steel and are really good for working on trucks or vehicles that you need to get high of the ground.i have other jack stands but these are by far the jack stands i prefer to use.
First, let me say that I am not a weekend warrior, I am a full time, professional mechanic for almost 15 years. I had to help a friend put some new brake lines on his car this weekend, so I brought along a pair of these to use for the first time, along with an old pair of Larins that i've had forever. The locking mechanism on these stands is terrible. If you don't make sure the lever is down, the weight of the car will not lock the stand properly and could be potentially very dangerous. That and the one time use has left a significant amount of red paint gone. Poorly made stands, I expected more. Will keep them and use them for very light duty stuff and look into getting a better pair for real work.
