Ease of install is good. Can not add air to tire without removing. This gives the max. added weight for snow blowing or plowing.

This is a good buy 2 weights for the price of one..Just dont forget the weight for the back of the tractor

The Craftsman 30 lb wheel weights part # 24434 fit the 8 inch wheels on the YT4500. I say this because the describtion does not mention which lawn tractors this item fits and does it give you any diemensions that you can use to determine the correct fitment to your tractor. Some tractors may require drilling holes in the wheels to install but the YT4500 has pre drilled holes. With my tractor the install was a snap one person can do this in about a hour but having someone hold the weight is a plus. Tools are nothing special I used two 9/16 in sockets one deep well on the back helps. Be sure to tighten well but don't over tighten or the bolt could break. The thing that may become an issue is that there is not a space to access the valve stem to fill the tire. This will become an issue later I am sure as I fill my tires offten on my older Sears garden tractor. To do this you will need to remove the wheel weight so you will have an added incentive to keep the slow leaks fixed. All in all this addition is a must if the lawn is at all wet and not completely flat & smooth other wise you will spin the tires. The wheel weights in my case are a good investment for both ease of operation & safety. Easy to install, fast delivery but some what pricey. Tip: look inside the hood of your tractor mine has all maintenance parts & attachments that fit listed on a tag with part numbers.

Installed these on my Craftsman YTS-4000. The weights installed pretty easy. Was able to do it by myself in about 10 minutes per wheel, but think it could take two people about 5 minutes per wheel. The only difficulty installing these weights by yourself is holding/balancing the weight in the wheel while you reach around the wheel to install/tighten the bolts. Installed these prior to the tire chains. Both help with the traction I need to plow snow on my driveway.

They fit my Craftsman YST3000 just fine. Installation was easy enough as I expect taking them off to be when that time comes. They do what wheel weights do. They increase traction and stability by putting more weight on the drive wheels and they lower the overall center of gravity and decrease the chances of rollover. Both are good things. I recommend them for anyone who needs more traction or operates in snow or hilly terrain.

Came with directions and a template to cut out and mark on wheel where holes needed to be drilled for instalation, but this was not needed as Sears had the foresight to predrill the holes in the wheel of the Craftsman lawn tractor.

The instructions don't tell you thsat in order to install you have to drill thought the mounting hub as well as the wheel to put the bolts through. They also don't tell you they don't fit. In order to get them to work and not vibrate loose, you have to go to the nearest ***** or ********** and get 6 long threaded bolts, more lock washers, flat washers and nylon thread locking nuts. Two bolts lets the weights go lopsided, putting three on balances it better. Using nuts and washesrs on both sides of the wheel keeps them from coming loose and falling off and also enables them to fit.

Based on another reviewer, I bought new bolts that I could reverse to remove the wheel to check air pressure, but, would not have to fight with the bolts.  This worls very well, and these 30lb wheel weights should give me the added weight I need for traction this winter.
