I have severe arthritis in my shoulders and can no longer pull start a gas engine, so I have been looking for an electric start power washer for YEARS.. Finally one I could afford! This washer works fantastic for everything I have used it for. In my opinion this is a must have tool for all home shops and it is a GREAT value for the price and I have already recommend it to my friends. I have been using Sears Craftsman tools for over 50 years with no problems or complaints with their quality ,and this again lives up to my expectations. Thanks Sears. If I run into any problems in the future I will report back, but I foresee none, just use common sense as what gas and oil to use, and don't worry about an extended service plan, you most likely will never need it!!
At $400 a 'standard' type of value. However, ****** extended warranty is $50 for 3 years and Sears is $150. A Sears employee explained the Craftsman 3000 psi, quiet sense machine has had problems and recommended I stay away from that model. So I purchased the Grip and Go. I strongly considered returning this item because I felt other brands at the same price were comparable, but the cheaper warranty at ****** was attractive. I was simply too lazy to take this machine back. It cleaned a 50 x 16 foot cement patio with about 3 tanks of gas. I was ready for a break before I ran out of gas so the tank size was not an issue. Here is what I can share: 1) The pull handle is over the oil fill. 2) The manual says to drain the oil after 5 hours of use. There is no oil drain, you must turn the machine upside down as directed in the manual. 3) The machine comes with 18 oz of oil. The manual says to fill with approximately 20 oz, but DO NOT OVERFILL. 4) Apparently all of these lawn equipment carbs become gummed up and won't start unless you can find gasoline without ethanol. I confirmed with the Sears repair shop. The number one reason for returns is owners using ethanol or gas older than 30 days. Premium gas was also recommended. The cost for repairs is $120 to clean the carb. Here is where the cheaper warranty comes in play. 5) You are purchasing a 3000 psi unit, but using the general tip you will only get 2700. Makes sense. Different tips = different psi. 6) Any $400 model comes with a cheap, stiff, hard plastic hose. There is no way you can wind this hose up on the handle without having the hose kink. Winding it up in a 2 or 3 foot diameter is a wrestling match and frustrating. 7) The dial a nozzle is suspect. I would rather have individual tips than a rotating head. 8) The soap holders are exactly the same. This means during assembly, one wing nut is easily accessed on the outside and the other is more difficult and screws on the inside by the motor. I did not purchase the $150 warranty. I did want to return the item, but did not want the hassle of taking the machine back to Sears. If I did it all over again, I would go to ***** and purchase the Troy Built with a $50 3 year warranty. But I must say, the machine starts up (for now) with a simple pull of the trigger on the wand and the machine performed fine. The issue here is the overvalued warranty and a motor that has documented 'issues' when using fuel containing ethanol.
The washer arrived partially assembled. Installing the handle, hoses, wand and tip was a breeze. The only problem I noted was that the rubber cutting on the high pressure hose to the handle and wand began shedding coating while being unrolled to use the unit. It bothered me to see the hose braid before the unit was even started. After checking over the unit, adding fuel and oil, and hooking up the water source, I pulled the trigger on the nozzle and it started up within a few seconds. The unit quickly built up pressure and did a superlative job on the siding of my home. When the unit runs out of fuel it shuts down instantaneously, so rapidly that it reminded me of hitting a stump with a lawn mower. After refueling, the unit again started immediately. The grip and go feature is great when standing on a ladder while cleaning. It allows 15 seconds of idling before the unit shuts down, or a quick pull of the trigger to keep it idling. It was great not having to come down and restart the unit manually. I have the nine foot wand kit on order, but already wonder if it will be usable. 3000 psi exerts quite a bit of force so I imagine that much extension over the included wand will be quite a handful. I'll keep an eye on the fraying coating of the pressure hose. If no further problems occur, I'll probably be happy to raise my rating to 5 stars as my initial impression is that this is a great little washer for the price.

I really like the auto start system it allows you to pick up the wand and start the unit when you want it to start. I also use it with the surface cleaner and it work like a charm I have many thing I look forward to try it on like my camper, house and the wood fence in my back yard.
