Cuts the weeds
I had a 100'x50' lot with 2-3 foot weeds some very thick. It cut thru them pretty good. Hard to start at first, after the first time just prime it 3-4x and switch to pos 2 and it will start pretty easy. Don't use the precut chunks of line I bought 230 feet of 105mm line it worked good but had to change line a lot but that was because of the unusual thick weeds I had. It is heavy you will need the shoulder strap and if you have a small yard its too big. Love the fact that I don't have to use special gas as well.

4cycle trimmer
after a year the product became hard starting and would not stay running. I dropped it off at the local sears for repairs. they said the carb and internal engine was damages due to stale gas. voided my warranty. so, even after always using fuel stabalizers, draining the fuel after each use. go figure.

FAIL

You'll be lucky to get 10 hours of life out of this item. It's the worst Craftsman brand item I have ever owned, and I will never buy a Sears brand item again. It is difficult to start, doesn't run well, and in the end, doesn't run at all.

Caution

Like the 4-cycle feature; little on the heavy side; leaks gasoline from tank when near upright position (my previous trimmer did not); bought the .130 line figure it would last longer then .095 (both line sizes recommended); was able to use .130 for awhile, then became difficult to push line thru guide holes even w/a plier & having line ends cut @ an angle; now am using .095 line which wear out 2x faster than .130 line

10-12 years going strong

I am not sure when these first came out, but I was an early adopter because of the attachments. This concept was totally new and sketchy back then. I got the unit on sale for like 139.99 back then and got the cultivator and the brush cutter and later the edger, and the pole saw with the shouler strap and big handle. I just fired it up again this year wondering how long it will last. It delivers power differently than the DG's Crafstman 2 cycle, winds up slower but has oomph the 2 cycles don't and the the brush cutter has taken out big stuff up to the size of the pole across the top of your metal fence. Don't make a habit of that though. The cultivators work great until you hit a big rock then it is done as the brass gearing shears internally, the pole saw, well it is wonderful, the edger worked great cutting through turf on a landscaping job where I wanted precision on my line. Amazing tool imho. One of the best I ever bought. Change oil easy and fresh gas Go!

Junk

Broke on the second use. Pull on the string, nothing happens, no resistance. I'm out side of the 30 days window (2 months), so I can't return it either. We open up the starter box, there are two plastic pieces inside that is thinner than a tooth pick that's suppose to have enough strength to start the engine. I kid you not, the pieces are thinner than a toothpick, and it's plastic! Both pieces broke.

Craftman Trimmer with Accessories

Loved the convenience of SEARS online and the Upromise discount tied into the website. As a parent of three teenagers approaching college in the next few months, we are trying to save on expenses and add to the college savings account. We are impressed with the product- love how quick and easy it is to edge our lawn!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Nice not to mix fuel but you better be in shape.

I have seen posts that say these come with a free strap? I just bought this and will have to tear the box apart to see if I can find it as I never saw one in the box and could definitely use it, today. Sadly, i just ordered a strap but I'll take that back if I find one in the box. This thing is heavy, but the strap would make it much better. So far, after a day of use, I really like this. Bought all the attachments and have yet to try them but I'm sure i will love them. 4 stars instead of 5 just because of weight.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
