      Product Description

Laser-etched size marking makes it easy to locate the right socket for the job. Great for working in low-lit or greasy environments. Permanent marking resists chipping, fading and corroding. 12 point configuration allows you to work in cramped areas where turning capacity is limited.

      USA! USA! USA!

Easy to read, made well, great fit, made in America. Love Craftsmnan sockets, when made in the USA. Got burned on the 176 piece set, sent it back as soon as I opened it. The individual sockets are still made here, great lifetime warranty, always good to have!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

      Nice socket

This is a nice made in USA socket. Good plating, easy on and off of ratchets. This one is tough to get wrong. It might be nice if they offered these larger sizes as six-points, but that's no big deal.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

      Trust Craftsman!

I was working in the brakes on my car and bought a hf socket set which just couldn't handle the take. For a small amount I was able to buy just the socket I needed and muscle the work done confidently.

      Solid Product

Needed this guy for my VW front axle nut. I only wish it was a tad deeper, but other than that no complaints.

Decent socket, no overjoyed by the shipping/quality control.

Needed a 30mm socket to rebuild the fork on my mountain bike.  Went to my local Sears store and was shocked at all of the emty pegs where the sockets should have been!  Obviously they didn't have this size or I wouldn't be writing this review.

The young woman who helped me place the order in-store was very helpful and actually seemed to have some tool knowledge.  Placed the order in-store with free standard shipping and got an e-mail confirmation when I was back home later.  Waited a few days....  I received an email notification that the socket had shipped (this was two or three days after ordering).  Checked the status of the order as well as the UPS tracking number for the next couple of days which just kept reading "shipping iformation received" - which usually means that UPS has received notification that there is a package ready for pick-up/shipping, but no further information is available yet.

About the 4th day after getting the notice that it shipped, I called the number for Sears to find out where the order was.  The woman on the phone was very... curt, I guess is the best word for it.  She basically told me that I would have to call back after business hours the next day for them to run a trace on the item (have to wait 5 days since the ship date).  I asked her to just check into it to let me know if had in fact shipped, where it was coming from... anything.  I got nothing.  She couldn't (or didn't want to) look up where it was shipping from.  Thankfully the next day the UPS notification had updated to say that I would receive it the following day (all told, about a week and two days from placing the order in the store - I know that this is probably typical standard shipping, but many places do ship much faster than this).

So, I got the socket and it works for what I needed it for.  Got my fork rebuilt.  Although, looking it over, I noticed that the laser-etched markings are half-way obscuring the permenantly-etched markings.  Guess the machine that takes care of the laser etching was not aligned properly that day.  It is just a small nit-pick, but in this day of much of our manufacturing going overseas, I would think that American comapnies (and the socket is, thankfully, made here on our soil) would take more care and pride in the product that they turn out.  just my thought.  Just my $0.02.  Hope this helps.

Just for the record, too, my Craftsman rolling tool chest is filled with mostly all Craftsman tools - sockets, wrenches, screwdirvers, ratcheting wrenches, etc.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
