Happy Customer!
After reading ALL the reviews, I was concerned if this weedwacker would adequately replace my 32cc Craftsman Bushwacker. Like other reviews say, small engine repair shops will laugh at you...not worth repairing. These are throw-away machines! I wanted the best possible quality, but could not afford a Stihl or Echo. This weedwacker was $113 on sale. I took a chance. So here's what I know so far... *It was easy to unpack and assemble. *It started on the 4th pull, and every time since. Just follow the directions printed on the weedwacker!! If you're having trouble, then you're probably not reading. *It idles like any other weedwacker I've owned. It's not a Cadillac, it's a 2-stroke. If you're not happy, then I suggest a simple adjustment. Look it up on YouTube. Needlenose to the carb. *If you don't run it with pre-mixed fuel, you're crazy!!! Buy some! Works great!! And no corrosive ethanol!! No smoke, high horsepower! *I use it with an EZ load string system to run it with heavier string. If you purchase that, use instructions for CURVED shaft installation. 1-2-3. *My gas cap leaked!! Until I realized that I could tighten it further. Torque it down....it's fine!!! When you think it is tight, go further!! *It does not bog down. If it does, then look on YouTube for an easy fix!! Did a huge job right out of the box, and I'm thrilled. Already paid for itself twice-over. Listen, all I have to say is, if you want more than this guy has to offer, then spend 3x more on a Stihl or Echo. I love this machine, and I only spent $113. (Plus tax). Good luck!

Seems fine at first but after a year its junk
I have had this weed eater ~ 1-2 years and its already broken. Besides not wanting to run at full throttle the pull start is broke. Apparently this is really common but if you dont have a warranty its a min of $70 just for sears to look at it. PLus parts and any additional labor. Save your money and buy a echo or stihl.

Poor motor

After about 1 hours use, it would not start. It felt oily around spark plug. That finding caused me to return the item.

Great trimmer for home use

I was happy to find this trimmer after my Craftsman 32cc trimmer finally bit the dust after 8 years of good service. For the price, I don't think it is possible to find a better heavy duty trimmer. It does a great job on my lawn and yard and I really like the bump feed for the trimmer line. The trimmer line seems to last longer than the pieces of trimmer line I manually inserted into my old trimmer.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Really lean, has to get hot before it runs, even then runs poor.

It would be good if you could adjust the carb, but it has screws with no slot for a screwdriver. Has to run a while before it keeps running, and even then it lacks power. String trimmer head is junk, gears stripped within a dozen uses. Looks nice, runs bad, gears stripped.

Craftsman 31cc* 2-Cycle Straight Shaft

Admission...my local HD did not have the SRM-225i model in stock - only the 225. I went to a smaller local dealer and they sold me the 225i unit for 199.99, which I thought was a great deal so I took it. It was very clear to me that these units can be had for well under retail, so I marked the value column down a notch due to the HD price at retail. With that said however, the unit certainly performs well enough to be worth it's retail value and I thought I would review it to help others who might be in the market. No doubt, the review section of the HD website is terrific so here goes...

pole saw attachment for craftsman weed eater

only used once so far. It seems that the chain stops a lot. I have not adjusted as of yet. It is quite heavy and hard to hold, If you move the original handle of the weed eater down to the pole extension it could be better, but not going to do that every time to use it. I will try it again and come back to write a new review. As for now I'll say it's just ok.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
