Happy Customer!
After reading ALL the reviews, I was concerned if this weedwacker would adequately replace my 32cc Craftsman Bushwacker. Like other reviews say, small engine repair shops will laugh at you...not worth repairing. These are throw-away machines! I wanted the best possible quality, but could not afford a Stihl or Echo. This weedwacker was $113 on sale. I took a chance. So here's what I know so far... *It was easy to unpack and assemble. *It started on the 4th pull, and every time since. Just follow the directions printed on the weedwacker!! If you're having trouble, then you're probably not reading. *It idles like any other weedwacker I've owned. It's not a Cadillac, it's a 2-stroke. If you're not happy, then I suggest a simple adjustment. Look it up on YouTube. Needlenose to the carb. *If you don't run it with pre-mixed fuel, you're crazy!!! Buy some! Works great!! And no corrosive ethanol!! No smoke, high horsepower! *I use it with an EZ load string system to run it with heavier string. If you purchase that, use instructions for CURVED shaft installation. 1-2-3. *My gas cap leaked!! Until I realized that I could tighten it further. Torque it down....it's fine!!! When you think it is tight, go further!! *It does not bog down. If it does, then look on YouTube for an easy fix!! Did a huge job right out of the box, and I'm thrilled. Already paid for itself twice-over. Listen, all I have to say is, if you want more than this guy has to offer, then spend 3x more on a Stihl or Echo. I love this machine, and I only spent $113. (Plus tax). Good luck!

Seems fine at first but after a year its junk
I have had this weed eater ~ 1-2 years and its already broken. Besides not wanting to run at full throttle the pull start is broke. Apparently this is really common but if you dont have a warranty its a min of $70 just for sears to look at it. PLus parts and any additional labor. Save your money and buy a echo or stihl.

Good Weedwacker

The packaging was horrible. The box was crushed and I thought oh well, I'll just throw it away anyway. Broken plastic parts are never good. I like the slightly larger motor chops weeds up, easy top start.

I bought this because it was just like my 10 year old ryobi which just died.I wanted the power and so I could all of my old attachments. I put it together out of the box and gassed it up. It started fine, except it will not stay started on position 3 on the choke. It dies every time. It will run fine on position 2, but with limited power. I'm going to have to take it in for repair. I do live in California so it could be the emissions settings. I just can't figure it out.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Keeps going back for repair

Died after 6 months and was returnd for repair. The trimmer had no power and would oscillate after repair, so it is back in for repair and I will be without a trimmer for a total of just over two months assuming they are able to repair it properly, unfortunately sears no long stands behind their products will will not replace till it has been in the repair shop for close 4-5 months of the 2 year warranty.

Decent choice for the money

I have had several Craftsman weedwackers and they all quit working after two years or so. This replacement weedwacker, after all discounts, was around $80, so it was a good replacement option for about the same price as a repair to my two year old model. After reading the directions that came in the box, it started up on the second pull. This particular model has a removable attachment head so other attachments can be used with it.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
