Craftsman  32 in. Spread Width Aerator/Spreader Combo, 100 lb. Capacity

I have owned this for 3 seasons, but only used 1st season, then just got out of shed for 3rd season to use. I agree with other reviewers assembly wasn't easy, but can be done with a little patience. However, the problems lie in the design. The drop setting screw can come loose from vibrations unless you really tighten it down. The flow control handle won't stay in the off position as you turn around for the next pass, it jumps out of it's retaining notch easily with the smallest bump. The aerator augur doesn't turn well and the distribution holes don't consistently drop fertilizer. Finally the chain broke, even though the augur was oiled. This needs a redesign, save your money.

This product is easy to but together with two people. If you have all the parts it can be done if you read and follow the directions. It does a good job as a stand alone but for better use I taped a brick to the support rod in the middle it works perfect. Keep in mind nothing is perfect and I have owned other makes and models this is the best so far.

I love the dependability of Sears and try to purchase things here when I can. I love the quality of the aerator/spreader.

First: Parts missing, Sears wouldn't just send us the missing parts like they used to so it took us two weekends to get it assembled. Told us we'd have to wait 3-4 days for our purchase to "get in the system" before they could send us parts. Instructions are inaccurate and incomplete. We finally got it put together, used it and now I have a green and yellow striped yard because the drive disks only made contact with the ground now and then, even with weight on the hopper. Unless those disks make contact and turn, the spreader doesn't release the product in the hopper. We tried it again today and it's just too flimsy, especially for that kind of money. Taking it back. It's a shame because I had high hopes for this product. I really wanted this to work well.

i assembled the spreader and it took me awhile to do so. after assembly ensure you raise the handle to engage the blades to the ground. water lawn prior to use to loosen ground, i added a weight to the spreader which seemed to work great

i bought the 32 in spreader/ aerator combo even though some reviews were negative. mine assembled well and all the parts were included. my first use was just using the aerator with some weight added to get the ground ready for a second use with fertilizer. i made several passes around my yard with the product and it performed great to me.

I just bought one of these and haven't used it yet but I'm already disgusted! Difficult assembly is exacerbated by interference that was not mentioned in the instructions. Spacer washers (not supplied) are required between the hitch tube and transport tube.

After three seasons the unit completely seized up. Would cost $73 in parts to repair. Rinsed and lubricated as reccomended. Adjuster stop knob is useless, will not stay in place. Bushing/Washers are way too small.

Rusts overnight; insufficient capacity; spikes jam in body.
