      Product Description

Craftsman 33 Gallon 165 MAX PSI  Quiet Vertical Air Compressor

The 33 gallon 165 MAX PSI vertical air compressor delivers plenty of run time so you get jobs done faster.
It is oil free/maintenance free for ease of use.  With the large 33 gallon tank, oil free design, and easy portability because it has wheels,  this is the perfect compressor for all spray painting projects!.  It can also handle all inflation, light to medium automotive projects as well.  It also has a high flow regulator so when you need the full power of the compressor, you have it!

When you are done, all you have to do is wrap up the cord and wheel the compressor away on its two convenient wheels.   This 110-120 v, 15-amp air compressor even works with an extension cord, thanks to its low-voltage start up.

This Craftsman 33 gallon vertical air compressor has 2 quick connects that let you have 2 lines ready so you can switch between tools quickly and waste less time. The compressor recharges fast, giving you less down time between uses as well. Another convenient aspect of this tank is that you are able to store it in cold or warm conditions without risk of ruining it. This is thanks to the fact that it requires no oil or maintenance.

      • 33 gallon air compressor with wheels travels easily
      • The 110-120 v cord on this compressor lets you plug it into essentially any standard plug, including extension cords, because it has a low-voltage start up
      • The tank has a max storage psi of 165
      • Storing this tank in cool conditions is no problem because it does not require oil
      • This air compressor has quick connects so you can switch rapidly between pneumatic tools

      Relatively quiet
In contrast to the last Craftsman compresser I bough (which is still working well after 10 years) this one is much quieter. Two quick connects for output allow you to set up one side to go through a filter or dehumidier while leaving the other side for inflating. Like most compressors this size, the drain on the bottom is difficult to reach. Spend $20 and replace this with an elbow, a 6" nipple and a ball valve and you will be able to easily bleed the water out of the bottom of the tank.

Died the first day I used it
We bought this compressor at the end of October. I unpacked it and plugged it in and it worked, but I didn't really use it until last month (March). After only an hour or two, it started throwing the breaker and shooting sparks out of the motor. I tired it on a dedicated 20 amp outlet and same thing happened - definitely a problem with the compressor. I loaded it up and took it back to Sears for a replacement. I understand things like this can happen and I didn't expect any problems. To my dismay, since it had been more than 60 days since I bought it, they wouldn't swap - I had to send it back to be repaired. That's when the nightmare began. Long story short, more than 4 weeks later they don't even have the parts yet. I've repeatedly requested them to just replace it, but they don't have the authority to make that decision. When (if) they finally fix or replace it, I'll grudgingly try it again. What choice do I have? I sure wish I had bought a different compressor from a different company. Even HF will quickly replace defective products. Good customer service can offset marginal products.

Very Reasonable Noise Level, Great Capacity & Pressure, 2 Hose Connections

It was time to upgrade my air compressor, so my first stop was Sears. I like buying Craftsman because of the warranty and the parts availability after purchase. This one (#16572) met all my expectation, and more. It's assembled in America using global materials. One priority for me was noise level, and this unit met my expectations. Not the quietest one available on the market but very reasonable and tolerable. A good middle CFM rating, great 165 P.S.I. max pressure, and a nice big 33 gallon tank. One thing I didn't realize until I unboxed it is that it has two quick couplings so two people can have access to air at the same time. I really like this compressor so far. We'll see how it holds up for the long haul. Hopefully this is the last home compressor that I have to buy. No buyers remorse here!

      Excellent Value

Have used this with a 1/2 in impact wrench and had more than enough power to remove 4 tires for rotation before it started up. Fast fill up of tank. Lots of power.

      Absolutely love it!!

I run a very small automotive repair and custom side business out of my home garage and needed a small, quite, and hassle free compressor I'm the shop. I purchased this compressor roughly a year and a half ago and could be happier. it's very quite and doesn't wake up the neighbors in the middle of the night on those late night projects, easy to run, and works every time no questions. the only complaint I bounce come up with is the drain valve is garbage and In bad location. I replaced it three times thru my warranty before getting smart and just upgrading. just wish I would have got a bigger tank for use with the da Sanders, but couldn't be happier with my 33 gallon! would highly recommend to any home owner or diy automotive enthusiast!!n

      Great for home shop

Needed a compressor to do general auto work on my trucks. Wanted something relatively powerful to let me do repairs, which included an upcoming replacement of shocks, springs, entire hubs etc. Looked a the specs and found that this would drive most of the 1/4" tools that I was using. Comes almost ready to use. You need a good hose, I bought the 3/8' that was called for the impact wrench and ratchets. 50ft hose, fittings etc. The compressor doesn't come with any of this. Plugged it in, let the tank fill, shut it off and left it overnight to see if it has any leaks. No leaks, Used it to rotate my tires with the composite impact wrench from craftsman and was able to take 2 truck tires off without the compressor even going on. The compressor is relatively quiet, and fills quickly. Its not too large and fits nicely in my corner of the garage. So far so good. Finally no more taking tires off with a hand wrench..

I would recommend this product to a friend.
