Smooth action easy to use Great handle for tightening

I never seem to have enough of these clamps around when I need them. These 36" bar clamps are the best I have ever used. The handle for tightening is comfortable making it easy to tighten. The moveable jaw unlocks easily and slides into position smoothly. The non-marring jaw covers do just that, protect the surface from being damaged under clamping pressure, and as an added benefit they keep the jaws from slipping while the clamp is being secured. These are very well made clamps and will last forever, even under constant use.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great glue up clamps

The Craftsman Steel 36 inch Bar Clamp are good clamps for your projects. They hold very well and with the paded feet, they do not leave marks on your project pieces. When you apply pressure to hold your materials, they don't bend or give. I like the handles for tightening or loosening and they have a great grip and easy to work with one hand. I am working on a pic nick table for my wife and used these clamps for that project and they were awsome. They did not slip, mark, or slide around on my project. I also like the 36 inch length for those bigger project pieces and even at that length, they still were rigid while holding the pieces without bowing. I recommend these clamps for any one needing to glue ot hold large work pieces in your shop.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

A must have clamp for your wood working shop

The Craftsman 36 inch Steel Bar Clamp is a great clamp for your wood shop. I am fairly new to woodworking (less than a year doing it) and many seasoned woodworkers all have told me to get plenty of clamps and not to go for the cheap made ones. I am a Craftsman tool guy for my small engine repair shop and figured I could not go wrong by going with Craftsman clamps for my wood working endeavors. I have been using several C-clamps that I already had for my welding stuff and found real quick that metal C clamps just don't work with wood too well. They leave marks on the wood and the metal stains the wood and makes an ugly mess. I had a few 18 inch bar clamps that I got a while back and the handles are cracked up and kind of hard to turn. I was working on a bigger project and thought that some bigger clamps would help me out and make it easier to work on my projects. I purchased a coule of the 36 inch steel bar clamps. I plan on purchasing a few more of these clamps and some more clamps like these in various sizes to build up my clamp collection. The feet on this clamp do not mark the wood and they are easy to lock into place however I need them. I have discovered that you don't need to get a pipe wrench to tighen these down. They are very easy to tighten and to loosen. These clamps will help me tremensely in glue up projects and to help hold my pieces on the work bench, while I do my work. The steel bar is rigid and holds its shape during the stress of clamping. As many before me have said; you never can have too many clamps. So with this, I would recommend these 36 inch steel bar clamps from Craftsman to add to your clamp collection. Even, better, I was able to get these clamps on sale.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Steel Craftsman 36 in. Bar Clamp

As a woodworker you just cannot have enough clamps in the shop! I was in Sears one day and they had a few of these marked down for whatever reason and I jumped all over them! I use these for clamping up glued panels to holding tools down to the work bench! You just cannot beat the simple F-style clamps!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Work well

I've had a couple of these for years.  Very reliable.  I wish I had gotten them in 24" only because they're a little too awkward for small projects.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
