First of all it is a really nice shelve. But putting it together is a challenge. When u read the instructions it was very hard to follow and understand what they are trying to tell you. Like the legs are labeled as A and D. The way it looks in the instructions is A post is the front of the shelves and D is the back. Not so the A post is for the bottom post and D is for the top post that goes on top of post A. Other than that you can do it your self but I recommend having small help. Also the first shelve you will put in is the bottom and you work your way up. Make sure when you secure it you measure how high the second shelf should be so it will not be too short. Other than that it is a great shelf it looks good and can stand a lot of weight.
This was a gift that was another Craftsman hit! Wach shelf holds up to 5,000 lbs! Highly recommend and may even buy a second one. Easy instructions to assemble
I purchased this unit a few weeks ago to start organizing my utility room. I got it at a great price and it wasn't too hard to assemble at all. The shelf is very sturdy and looks really nice in my utility room!
Looks great in the garage. Very adjustable. High quality. I assembled by myself so it too a while (too long). Will be much easier with a set of helping hands! Phone a friend. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Bought these to replace shelving I bought a few years back that had [ressed wood shelving that was supposed to hold up to 1000 lbs. I had just a little over 100 lbs. on it and the shelves are sagging. I loaded these shelves down after assembly and have complete confidence tthese steel shelves will hold up. Very strong and sturdy.
Much like others have experienced, the shelf unit is sturdy and well made. But the instructions? the instructions to assemble the unit are horrible. The descriptions are unclear and the illustrations do nothing help.
We initially bought two of these but ended up returning one because it was just so hard to put together! The quick connectors were way too fiddly, some of them weren't threaded correctly and you couldn't get a screw in them. There were no extra fixings either to swap out. The instructions were very hard to follow also. Once put together it is a nice strong shelving unit and we are very happy with the quality and construction of it.

The unit is sturdy but the directions are terrible to follow, pictures hard to see, and the special clips are not very intuitive if you are not good with this sort of thing. Took my buddy and I three hours to put together. Once done it is a heavy duty unit but I recommend some sort of rubber castors or something for the bottom, to prevent moisture seeping up through the concrete in your garage and rusting the feet of the unit. It has been a year and mine are already showing signs of rust under the powder coat right at the foot of the unit where it touches the concrete of the garage.
