Product Description

Laser-etched size marking makes it easy to locate the right socket for the job. Great for working in low-lit or greasy environments. Permanent marking resists chipping, fading and corroding. 12 point configuration allows you to work in cramped areas where turning capacity is limited.

Excellent Socket as Oil Filter Wrench

We needed a oil filter wrench for our BMW which requires 36mm oil filter wrench. I searched around the web and found this socket. This very high quality, easy-to-read, lifetime warranty socket that is also best price (when factored in the discount). I highly recommend this product. You can never go wrong with Sears tools.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

nice big socket

I needed this socket to get the oil filter cap off my car. Much better than trying to use Vise-Grips and eating up the cap. Works great for all e46 BMW's.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Just a big socket

I bought this socket to fit the pinion nut on the rear axle of my Isuzu trooper. It did the job and I expect it to hold up long enough that my 4 year old son will be able to use it when he's older.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great product at a great price

Needing a 36mm socket to take the rear tire off my motorcycle, I have been shopping around for them. Many auto parts stores that had them wanted $20 or more for that socket. When I found it at Sears for under $9, I immediately bought it. It works great.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Best value in large sockets

Big sockets are the kind of item you think you will never need.  But then you find yourself working on a project you never expected to tackle and there are the large fasteners.  Man, I should have bought the larger sockets when I had the chance.  Fortunately, Craftsman sockets are inexpensive enough that you do not mind keeping them on hand.

In addition, Craftsman sockets have been AS954 compliant for several years.  This aerospace specification accounts for the radiused area at each "point" on the socket.  Better contact with the fastener, no more rounded fasteners.  One famous tool company had this patent tied up for years but the process is now available to all manufacturers and we see it applied to Craftsman sockets.  Better deal than ever.

Socket Size

It is a great price for a large sized socket compared to other brands, although they do not have a six-point and those are very hard to find. My issue is the 36mm O.D. on my Yamaha does measure 36mm, while the socket I.D. is actually 37mm, which I measured after I noticed how loose it fit on the nut.
