    Good for Price
I have owned this set for years and use it more than most casual users. Although this is not professional quality (you would not use it in a metal shop) it is quite useful for a home owner and casual mechanic. I used this and the metric version to rebuild heads in a Canadian built Ford (both metric and standard!!!) It worked fine. Never have broken a tap and I use the 6-32 quite often on Aluminium. I ALWAYS drill to the correct size before using this set. The top is cheesy, wish that it was more substantial. There is another set that is just $10 more. It has a different case, 2 more pieces and may be a better value if it is the same tools as is in this set.

    Good value when on sale
I purchased this set on sale with the Craftsman Club at $59.99. I would not pay the full price of $99.99. It is a nice starter set for the home or hobby use. I was disappointed in the quality of the die and tap holders. The die holder fails to keep the die in tight with its one and single set screw. I was also disappointed that the taps and dies are not stamped with sizes, but rather lazer printing only. The lazer printing is small and hard to see, especially if you need glasses! The case is nice to store the set in. Again, good for light use, but not the set you'd make a living on.

a tool set to Die for

This tap and die set has been essential in the restoration of my old Camaro. The only thing I could complain about is the inability to exchange worn taps or dies since they are considered expendable. I still value my set.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

    Good quality taps are essential

After wasting a bunch of time trying to do a job with a cheap tap, I bought the Craftsman set and finished the job in minutes. You need good hard taps to thread cast iron, and these meet the need.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
