Have used the tiller twice, ran and started well following the directions. It did take a little bit to warm up to full power the first use but seems fine the 2nd use. Appears to do and run as advertised, very good value for the price.

Bought this two days ago. Used it yesterday. Did a good job on my established garden areas, but took some back and shoulder muscle. I tried it in non-established areas and didn't get anywhere. Pros = Assembly was quick and easy. Started right up. Cultivates nice in loose top soil. Cons = Doesn't have the ability to till new areas. It may take considerable more time.

Assembly took 5 minutes. Worked perfectly out of the box. Starts on second or third pull. Have used in cool weather and it still starts fast. Perfect for tilling gardens and flower beds. Light weight and easy to use.
The items worked very well. It starts and runs really smooth and does a really good job for what it is. I have a 16x12 area I use for a vegetable garden and it does the job.

Purchased the tiller and have used it 2.5 to 3.0 Hrs, hard to re-start if you turn it off, appears to not have a spark, yesterday I tried using it and the starting rope broke off, very dissapointed in the quality, I own all craftsman tools but this is something I would not buy again, it is a waste of your money
I purchased this mini tiller one year ago and at first the engine would start, but the tines would not move. The mechanic at Sears said that it had to warm up first, so it slowly started turning the tines. After one year and 4 uses or so, the tines don't move at all anymore. It also does not till well if there is ANY vegetation present. The engine is very weak and can't cut through small tufts of grass or anything. Even if it could, the tines would get wrapped up before too long. So I use my 4 hp Briggs and Stratton edger turned on its side or a lawn mower to till the tough stuff. This thing just goes for a while and then seizes up. I actually opened up the gear box, and it's a simple mechanism with a small screw that is supposed to turn a cog that turns the tines. The small inner screw is a weak point in the system, and the hub with cog is very loose inside the box. When the inner screw engages, it pulls up on the cog and seizes the tines, so the potential for stripped gears is obvious. Very poorly and weakly built in my opinion and can't handle even a moderate tilling job. It's basically good for burying seed in already tilled soil, but in my opinion not worth it for the money, even with a 2 year warranty.
