I bought this yesterday, it is my first "real" toolbox. I'm a little chagrined that my top drawer significantly sticks about half-way when opening. I'm o vn the fence about returning the box. I've read that a couple other folks have trouble with sticking drawers too. Before I return the box, I'm going to remove the drawer and check out the slide's alignment, and possibly lube up the slides. (Manual recommends lubing twice a year and I can tell this wasn't done from the factory.) I'll update this review later. In the end, I rated it high, because it's a solid box, larger than I need, and still impresses this homeowner/hobbyist, who still has to use his dad for DIY projects.
First, I should emphasize that I am not displeased with this product just yet. Purchased only yesterday, it is a replacement for another Craftsman chest that I received as a gift some thirty years ago, and one in which I had a great deal of expectation based upon that history until lining its drawers last evening. I write this review as admonishment to the potential buyer that we are the final quality assurance inspectors, and I fear the manufacturer may be missing something in production.
You see, out of its box and packing, I discovered the left bottom surface of the second drawer rubbed the top of the third beneath it. Closer inspection revealed the drawer, though evidently uneven, was indeed properly aligned on its slides. Following directions provided, I removed the drawer from the chest and found the problem. The track on the left side of the drawer was welded into an uneven position, and not by a small margin. Specifically, I observed that it deviated from the bottom edge of the drawer by as much as 3/16-inch between its rear and front ends, which is a short span of about 7 inches.
The point is that this mistake is just a bit obvious. It is evidenced in the photograph I have attached to this review. It occurred prior to powder-coating, and persisted through assembly and packing. I am convinced that more than one set of eyes missed an opportunity to catch it, and that mass production lends it to being easily reproduced. More importantly, I regret not insisting on opening the box in the store to catch it, myself.
Now, inconvenienced by this oversight, I encourage you to beware for yourself. Open the box and look before you leave the store!
Take note, also, the slides do not include ball bearings in their design, so load weight will quickly work against them. Be mindful to limit the weight you put into each drawer. A little lithium grease might help with wear that is bound to happen over time.
This toolbox is really nice. It has a place to put a lock if you want to keep it locked up, a handle for carrying and it holds quite a bit of tools.
Finally have a tool chest to keep all of my stuff together in one place. Very functional, just need to add some rubber padding for the drawers. Liked it so much, bought one for my brother for a Christmas present.
I was looking for a more portable solution to take my toolset with my on the road. The fourth drawer is worth the extra for me in that it provides enough room to sort my tools just like I have them sorted in my fullsize tool box. The quality is very rugged compared to other top brand retailers.

Very nice tool chest. Holds alot. Has a 'lock' ability on drawers when lid is closed so drawers won't fall open when toting. It is heavy though. Happy with purchase!
