If you are going to keep adjustable wrenches instead of sized wrench sets, this four inch adjustable is a must-have. Larger adjustables can close down for small fasteners, even to a 1/4 inch opening. But you do not have good control of a large wrench when it is applied to these small fasteners, better to use a smaller adjustable. Less chance of slipping off of the fastener (and round the points). The small adjustable will give you good control of the wrench and let you turn the small fastener without slipping off or rounding the points.
I carry two sizes in my "bugout" tool bag, a ten inch and a four inch, so I can deal with whatever fasteners I find in emergency situations.

...still ordering what's left of them on ****. I'm a Professional (HVAC,Electrical, Plumbing, etc.) I need reliable tools that will work in tight places and meet ever changing demands.
this tiny wrench is packed with versatility and quality, being made in USA. the jaws open wide to accomodate any fastener, including sizes way bigger than you should really be using this wrench for, but when it needs done, you risk wrench damage to get it done. be relieved that if you do mess it up, it has the ususal awesome warranty, and best yet, unlike other craftsman tools, the adjustable wrenches wont be going overseas anytime soon, every single adjustable wrench i have seen on store shelves is USA made, so if you break the USA wrench, you wont get an import in return.
Craftsman adjustable wrenches are a good value and higher quality than other tools I have used. I am proud to see that unlike many of the newer craftsman tools this is still American made. Adjusts smoothly and tightly.

Not exactly what I was looking for. This is a 6" Adjustable Wrench head on a 4" handle. Looks odd, doesn't fit where it should because of the large head. I'm disappointed with the product.

The compact size works GREAT for attaching it to my electrical bag and carrying it with me to the jobs. I'm able to get into those really tight spots without having to carry all my wrenches. Smooth operation, well made, light duty because of it's size, but what else would you expect. Good purchase.
I have two of these after refusing to have a "knuckle buster" for years. I have found that these will hold tight and adjust tighter than you can pull them off of the nut or bolt. they don't slip and don't bust your knuckles. I wish I had bought one earlier.
The new 2011 version is worse than the old 2007 version. Old 2007 version had a small 1/2-inch throat, and had a small head that was very proportional to the small 4" length of the wrench. The old 2007 version had a beautiful polished chrome finish. The old 2007 version was properly weighted and ideally suited to be placed on a key-ring. The new 2011 version has large 5/8-inch throat, and has large head that is disproportionate to the small 4" length, and is disproportionate to other larger wrenches...looks like they took a 6" length wrench and cut the handle shorter. The new 2011 version has a matt-finish (unpolished) chrome plating. The old 2007 wrench was cute and functional...the new 2011 wrench is only functional.
