Just the perfect size..

Needed a smaller sized ball peen to drive roll pin punches and this does the trick. No more hitting my fingers with an over sized ball peen. Good price, quality build.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Overall
adequate as purchased

Bought this hammer to do delicate riveting. Finish on both ends was not satisfactory, to me, as it came from the store. I buffed both end to a smoother finish. As typical with many products from China, it is not as good as previous Craftsman quality.

A Petite Ball Pein Hammer - VERY FUN!

I know that there have been a great many changes in Hammer design over the decades. There are now steel, fiberglass and even composite handled hammers. For a purist like me, however, nothing matches the feel of a good old fashioned hickory handle.

This ball pein hammer takes me back to a day with things were simpler and the job at hand was worth doing right, if it was worth doing at all. One cool little note, is that the Craftsman Logo is burned right into the handle of each hammer. No stickers to peal off leaving a gooing mess which attracts dirt and grime.

Remember that quality work requires quality tools!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Overall
great quality hammer

I have owned this hammer for almost 2 years without a problem. I have gone through many others where the the handle separates from the hammer itself or the handle breaks alltogether. This hammer is reasonably priced and worth every penny.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Overall
A fine hammer for delicate work.

I use this small pein hammer for clock movement work, mostly striking hardened punches to drive gears onto shafts.  It is the proper size for the soft blows I need to deliver.  It also works well for peining a small metal rivet end (flattening the rivet to hold).  I like that this hammer is softer steel than the tools that I strike, saving my punches from strike damage.  The  slightly convex 3/4 inch hammer face takes a micro dent when struck, not my punches.  The hammer head is about 4 ounces as advertized, the entire hammer weighing abount 7 ounces.  The handle is 9.5 inches long.  This hammer balances about 2 inches back from its head, a very good feel for me that allows good control of the careful strikes I need for delicate work.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
