This 4 pc set is perfect for the woodworking beginner. It has a little bit of everything, meaning each bit can be used for a couple applications. It is an inexpensive way to start you in making expensive looking woodworking pieces.

I'm trimming the edges of most lumber on my gazebo and using these bits. They are very good bits and cut a smooth shape into the wood. This set has a good assortment of bits and has extra bearings.

It would have been helpful to have the size of the bits on the package, but it worked well for me. The extra bearins are nice but they are not interchangeable with all of the bits in the set- which would have been nice for the project i was working on. overall it is a great set of router bits for the price.

Again, these are not your high priced router bits! For the price of one of them you're getting four here. That doesn't mean these aren't good for thwat they're intnded for! These are good quality bits that can be sharpened if you need to! Their greatest attribute is that they are cheap to buy and do provide a good edge for the hobbbyist woodworker.

After purchasing my first router, I went looking for a basic starter set of router bits and ended up getting thi Craftsman 4-piece set. Each bit is well made with carbide tips. I've used each one at least once and they peformed will. I was able to put a new decorative edge and some old furniture as well as create my own trim pieces.

I have an older Craftsman 1.5 HP Router. The original Craftsman blades are long gone. For years I have been buying cheaper bits for projects. The longevity isn't the best on those bits, but they did a marginal but adequit job. I received a set of these bits as a gift recently. I have since used them to install new top plates to the half walls in my home. The material was 1x8 oak. The first thing I noticed was that the bits did not bind and pull at all. I was very impressed that the bits did not burn the wood at all. In the past the cheap bits have always heated to the point that they burned in spots when routing hardwoods. I have since purchased two more Craftsman Carbide bits to replace two of my cheap bits. Buying better bits which cost more money is definately the way to go. You will actually save money as they last much longer and work smoother than the cheapies!
